I can add something in here for now.
I've finished Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link in 2 lives. I ran out of magic on the final boss.

I got to play Mario Sunshine again and it took me 3 days to beat (playing about 3-5hrs a day) first time I played this it took me at least 3 months.
I've only beat this game twice now.
In LttP I can almost name off where every heart piece is by memory (and possibly how to get them )
and yeah I can beat this game w/o dieing
I could beat the 1st birdo in SMB2 when I was like 2yrs old
I can beat every stage in SMB3 and get 99 lives (but I usually fuck around in this game)

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.
Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

I noticed one thing about this game. If you're decent at it, you can get to 30-40 lives without trying. They give you one for finishes 3 stages, one-ups are everywhere, and even if you don't use the early infinite one-up points you've really got to try hard to force a continue.

All of the Mario games after 2 give out extra lives like they're candy.

Especially Mario Galaxy. If it would save your life count I would have in the upper 900's.

Okay I"ll mention this (since it isn't of topic) I usually get most of the lives in SMB3 by constantly jumping on shit like Goombas, Koopas or Bullet Bills
There are 6 ways to get in SMB3
1. Finding a obviously
2. Collecting 100 coins
3. The card roulette at the end of the stage by getting 3 cards or 3 of a kind 1-5 free lives
4. The roulette on the map 2-5 free live I think
5. The "N" spade card game
6. By jumping on enemies 8 or 9 times consecutively

You can get the koopa stuck between the pipe and the stairs and just keep jumping on them to get lives up to 99 on SMB1

Oooo, I love these threads. Here are a few of mine, at least those that I can remember.
Castlevania Curse of Darkness: Defeated Legion and Nuculais in one try the very first time I met them.
Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time: Beat the game without dying once.
Here's one from today:
Secret of Mana: Beat Mech Rider 3(at the tree palace) without using any offensive magic.
Also beat Frost Gigas without Salamandro, though that's only because I had no idea I got him at that one warm village in Ice Country.

Well, since I posted this in a similar thread, I'll go ahead and say it again:
Beat Legend of Zelda: Link to the Past in a 7-hour period in one sitting, minus some time involving bathroom breaks, a quick lunch, and forgetting to fall down the hole in Misery Mire dungeon.

I also recently beat 7 opponents in SC. Not nearly as rewarding as I thought it would be.

How many hearts? Because that's relatively easy if your maxed out all the time.
I recently finally beat Heat Man's stage without using the Jet sled.

Eh, maxed out, I think. Still, no matter how many hearts, you always have only three in the beginning, and there were some parts where I was really challenged. I've only done the feat once, though. I just felt it was worth mentioning. I oughta see if I can do it with A Link to the Past for once in my life.

Cleared at least 205 lines in a game of Tetris (SNES).
Went 127-35 as the Baltimore Orioles in Tecmo Super Baseball, back in the summer of '01 on an emulator. Pretty good considering that I started out 2-9. Now I just need to do it for real on my SNES/FC Twin.
In a game of Tecmo Super Bowl (SNES), my 49ers were down 27-9 at halftime to the Detroit Lions. Came back to win 43-27.

I was playing GTA 4 earlier today online, and got the "Let A Sleeping Rockstar Lie" Acheivement, which I heard that you cold only get if you kill a deveoper at Rockstar. That was pretty sweet!

That achievement is actually a viral one, meaning Person X originally gets it by killing a Rockstar developer, then whoever kills Person X gets it, and on and on forever. It's gotten really widespread now and killing just about anyone now will give it to you if you don't have it yet. Cool achievement though.

Anyone who beat a Zelda game w/o dieing you might want to know beating Zelda games w/o dieing is not a great achevement because you can just bottle fairies (unless you can't then it is) and use them when you die, but not using fairies in Zelda is more of an achevement (if you don't die and/or have only 3 hearts.)
Anyway I beat Twilight Princess about 4 times and only died once also I found all the hearts and beat the Cave of Ordeals.

What if they're Zelda games that predate fairies in bottles? Like Zelda 1 and 2?

The hardest things I can remember doing at the moment:
Battletoads
Doom on Nightmare
Halo on Legendary (especially non-flood levels)
10 star rating in Silent Hill
Ninja Gaiden on Hard
Also, I agree that any Zelda after 2 with 3 hearts is not much of an accomplishment. That's how I play the game period.
The only things I've tried but never been able to do:
Finishing the last few advanced levels of Super Monkey Ball (even thinking about it makes me want to cry)
TMNT. I'd have to see it beat to believe it were even possible.

I got bored so I finally got to do what I've being wanting to do; beat A Link to the Past in one sitting (though it was a downloaded version that I had to play with the GCN controller) I beat in almost exactly 5 hours. I got every heart piece, never bottled a "faerie", (that's how they spell it) never bought potion, and I never died. The only thing I didn't do was get the arrow/bomb upgrade by "Venus the Queen of the Faeries."

I'm trying out Zelda 1 with no sword and another game with 3 hearts. If I can do both I think I'll combine them

I thought it was impossible to beat the 7th dungeon boss without a green potion.
