Saw it today, and.....I liked it. Now while I disagree with the critic's harsh reviews, I didn't love it. It was okay. A good 'popcorn' movie. The driving sequences were good, the acting was passable, it had a monkey, Christina Ricci was hot, and the plot was better than I thought it would be, simply cause it existed. Problems: Too long, too bright, too confusing, boring fight sequences, tried too hard to be funny, and way too fucking bright. 2 1/2 stars. I'll most likely rent it again.

Anyone else see it?

(Also, new Hulk trailer. Pretty much going to be freaking great. There's one scene where a soldier gets out of his tank, walks up to Hulk, and says "Come on, that all ya got?" And Hulk Sparta kicks him. I'm not talking super kick, big boot, I'm talking King Leonidas kick to the chest. Awesome. http://www.movieweb.com/news/64/28364.php

It was boring. The Wachowskis tried way to hard to be visually inventive again and neglected the rest. Even the racing scenes didn't excite me: It was like watching an ADD victim drive a Herbie-style racing car through a Hot Wheels track. Playing "spot the German actors" was the most entertaining thing for me during the movie.

Too bright and colorful for my tastes, but all in all pretty well done. I like how they kept the silly cartoony feel. My only questions is why? "Ok we've finished the Matrix, what should we make next?" Why a remake of Speed Racer? Confused

i went and saw it last night, it was pretty rad. theater was pretty empty so it was just me and a bunch of bros. we told alot of jokes during the previews, specially the first ten min' of the movie. it was pretty silly at first, gets really better when racer x shows up and the movie starts with the actual plot. susan sarandon is a hottie, lots of hotties in this movie.
