The latest issue of Famitsu is reporting that Tatsunoko Productions, better known as the birthplace of well-known series such as Speed Racer, Macross, and Samurai Pizza Cats, will be featured in the newly-announced fighter Capcom vs. Tatsunoko: Cross Generation of Heroes.
Tag team battling will be returning, and fans of previous iterations of the Capcom Vs. series can expect Ryu and Chun-Li to put in their usual appearances. Meanwhile, the Tatsunoko side will feature Getchaman's Ken Washio and the titular character from Casshern. The full roster has yet to be revealed, but Capcom has never been shy about opening its vault and including characters like Darkstalkers' Felicia and Strider. And if scans released on the Internet are any indication, then characters from Tatsunoko's Tekkaman Blade, Yatterman, Hurricane Polymar, and Hakuson Daimou will also be popping up along the way.
Capcom vs Tatsunoko will feature 2D graphics, so anime fans can rest assured that their favorite characters will be faithfully reproduced. As for fighting fans, take a moment to smile and rest easy knowing that, between this and Street Fighter 4, Capcom has the next couple years covered. Capcom vs Tatsunoko will be hitting Japanese arcades this winter with no word yet on possible console ports or a North American release. |

back in the day my upn affiliate used to play anime on saturday followed by wmac masters. they played samurai pizza cats, teknooman, battle for the universe, and dragon ball. it was pretty short lived though.
i only remember the theme songs and commercials for most of them.

wb picked up dragonballz after upn dumped dragonball. still they only had 10 episodes or so. whats weird is the shows upn picked up. upn is where they had stuff like vr troopers and betleborgs metallix. after school they showed beast wars and the disney afternoon cartoons.

Is it me, or do these character models look better than the Street Fighter IV ones?
And I hope that there's some Super Sentai in this, that way it gets Americanized as the Power Rangers. It could happen. JOSE CONSECO!!!

the street fighter 4 models aren't.
