Being the stat whore that I am, I found these numbers to be pretty interesting. Seeing SFII for SNES as their top selling game ever makes me happy. It was the reason I bought a SNES, and even though it wasn't arcade perfect, I still played the shit out of it. Good times. I'm kind of surprised that the RE series has outsold Street Fighter by such a wide margin. I also knew there were alot of fuckin Megaman games, but 120!?! Damn. Also, the SNES version of Aladdin, despite being considered as the inferior Aladdin game, somehow sold more units than more coveted titles like RE4 on gamecube and Megaman 2, wasn't expecting that. Megaman 2 particularly, deserved better. Despite it being their 2nd best selling franchise, none of the individual titles have sold particularly well (relatively speaking). Devil May Cry 4 also sold a whole lot better than I was expecting. I still need to pick that one up...

There are a lot of Mega Man games, but there aren't really 120. Each instance of a game is treated as separate game. So something like Mega Man X3 which was released on SNES, Saturn, PC, and PSX counts as four games.

Yea, I knew that, but it still seems like a lot to me. With all the variations and ports of street fighter only adding up 59, the megaman count is double that.

those numbers are surprising!
I didn't expect resident evil to be the top seller. I am also surprised that the VS games and some cult hits like warzard/red earth aren't on there.

The Street Fighter series includes the versus games probably, but it is surprising that none of the versus games appear on the individual title list. I would have expected at least MvC2 to sell over 1 million copies. Maybe its sales were just diluted over the various platforms...
