When I read the thread title, I thought this was the first challenge in Douche's game.

I never found Quickman's boomerangs to be that useful, but there ya go.

You must defeat Sheng Long to stand a chance!

If that was there first time playing that stage I'd say "Impressive" I hate to be "Captain Bring-down" but if you play a stage enough you'll be able to complete it by memory.
I can do that in almost every Megaman X stage.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.
Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

I am like a rich white guy stuck homeless around a barrel fire in the ghetto when it comes to Mega Man. It just looks and me says "What the fuck do you want, cracka?" and I just fuckin run.
However, that was pretty sweet. I remember trying to do that with save states. I had the hardest time with the disappearing platforms and that big pre boss thing.

ROMS changed the way all these old games were played.
What happened to 3 lives, 3 continues and that was it? You youngins have it easy!
At best, I can do Heat Man without any items, its not hard, it just takes practice. In Mega Man's case, just try the bosses in a different order. I like the series because there is no definitive path to get to Wily's Castle.
It works with Zelda 3 too

For me it was always Quick Man. Those boomerangs weren't THAT important. Seeing the video I'll partially reconsider, but like I said, I had to learn Heat Man without them.
Mega Man was never very agile.
Once he found out he was going into a fighting game he worked out though, should've done that 10 years ago.

The boomerangs were overshadowed by the Metal Blades, as was just about every other weapon in that game, but they were very useful if you knew when to use them. Against Sniper Joes and those spring head guys, for instance.
I usually go after Quick Man before Metal Man anyway.

I usually left quickman for last. I found that falling part harder than heatman's disappearing blocks personally. When I was a kid, I didn't know you could use flashman's timestopper and item-2 to make those parts significantly easier...

I did Quick Man first, to alleviate the headache. I constantly died on that stage. Over and over again. So I knocked it out first.
After that was Bubbleman and those spikes that always killed me.
Heatman was a footnote. I needed to stop jumping so high or run faster.
