Just like I did for last year, I looked through this whole year's worth of releases on imdb.com and here's what's coming out that I want to see and when:

June 6th, You Don't Mess With the Zohan
July 11th, Hellboy II
July 18th, The Dark Knight
July 25th, The X-Files: I Want to Believe
August 1st, The Mummy: The Dragon Emperor
August 15th, Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Tropic Thunder (maybe)
October 24th, Saw V
November 21st, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
November 28th, Bolt (maybe)

And that looks about it. Thoughts?

Fanboys was on my list for last year, then it got bungled up with a casting change, thus bumping it up to a January release only to then be slighted with a limited release. As such, I have yet to see it even as a torrent.

Note I said this is what imdb had listed at the time, Zack and Miri is something I want to see (as is Red State once Smith gets it finished), I'm still undecided about The Spirit. I'm not familiar with Righteous Kill.

I guess we're most likely to see Fanboys on DVD. Which is fine by me.

Righteous Kill is a cop movie starring De Niro and Pacino. That's basically all I needed to know to make me want to see it.

And I want to see Red State even more than I want to see Zack and Miri. We'll be lucky if it comes out next year though. It might take longer. Since the Weinsteins passed on it, considering it too controversial, Smith will have to find some independent investors. Shouldn't be too hard for him though.

Why are they still making Mummy movies?

Some kids think Indy is too dated?

Well, that may be true but the question still is left unanswered. Can hollywood still look at the mummy as a cash cow? Well if Indy can still make a profit then i guess so can a series that died much earlier then Indy did. when it comes to hollywood, originality is scairus these days so anything is possible.

well, I think hollywood is definitely trying to get rid of Indy by making those damn national treasure movies.

that is all.

anyhow... tropic thunder looks alright
pineapple express actually looks funnier imo.
the incredible hulk looks awesome.
the spirit looks badass as well.
batman never looked better.

No kidding. I just found out that they are making a prequel to The Scorpion King. Which already was a prequel. So it's a prequel prequel. This is taking on Zelda like dimensions.

Episode II was Attack of the Clones. Star Wars: The Clone Wars will take place between the events of Episode II and Episode III. Episode II showed the start of the Clone Wars, while Episode III showed the end of it. This movie will fill in the gaps. Also it's an animated movie not a live action film and the pilot for a television series.

It'll kinda be like the Battlestar Galactica "Movie" from back in the day. Except this will be uninteresting and pointless, and will just be out for cash. I probably wont even go see it.

I also probably wont go to see Hulk, seeming how its probably EXACTLY or very close to the same movie as the Bana version was. I may be dragged to this one by my friends on opening night.

I kind of want to see Wall-E, and Batman, I guess I could go see it. I mean, I havent even seen Batman Begins yet, because I dont want it to destroy my love for the first Michael Keaton film.

Basically, its all downhill from here. I did want to see Traitor and that Backwards Jack film with Brad Pitt.

Want to blame Hollywood for being original? Go see the shitty original movies that never make money and yet get nominated for Oscars every year. If anything, Hollywood can't make original decent movies like Demolition Man anymore. Remember we used to have tons of action movies with only one film? Those were the days. I miss them. We came close with films like Exit Wounds but now we're reverting back to sequels and spinoffs. Of course, War didn't help things any... Confused

Kung Fu Panda was pretty good. Though Tigress was the only one of the Furious Five to have any appreciable length of dialogue. Hell, you'd barely know Seth Rogan and Jackie Chan were involved.

Lastly, I had to look it up but Dustin Hoffman's character is a red panda (which aren't much bigger than housecats).
