Mine are Nina and Eddy. And Tiger, even though he's just an Eddy skin.

Julia's fun too. There's nothing like making your opponent cry to the blue corn moon.

Hwaorang and Brian Fury. keep in mind I haven't played any of the games seriously since 3.

I'm not a huge tekke nfan, but would be lying if I said I didn't seem to play it alot.

I used to dig yoshimitsu and king, but they made them really stupid after tekken 2. in 3 I liked hwoarang because he was fun to play as, and bryan because he could punch you across the screen. In tag I liked jin and Jack-2 alot (fuck gun jack and P. Jack) and of course baek and hwaorang (hunting hawk FTW).

When 4 came out I was totally thrown off because of how much they changed all my old favorites (jin doing karate? ugh) so I picked up steve because he was really unique and fun, and messed around with marduk because I like using the heavy guys (I try to use gannondorf in brawl).

In 5 I became an exclusive steve player for a while, and then messed around a little with asuka and fen wei. Asuka was kinda meh (she's a shitty jin replacement for me, considering in tekken 3 and tag jin was an awesome combination of jun and kazuya) but totally loved fen wei. he's brutal. I'd like to point out that the only reason I even played tekken at this point was to prove that I was better at videogames than some girl that I wanted to insert my penis into (she was a nina player). so I never got really into it after I stopped talking to her. raven looked fun though.

I was always partial to ling xiaoyu too.

non gameplay, but character wise, heihachi is the coolest fighting game character ever. he even reviewed soul calibur 2 for THI. http://tehinter.net/everythingever/articles/videogames/soulcalibur2.shtml

old review of tekken 5 http://tehinter.net/everythingever/articles/videogames/tekken5.shtml i was pretty harsh on the game though.

Oh, yeah. I forgot Jack (every incarnation except GunJack, with special bias to Jack-5).

that game was the reason i bought a PS2 at launch. It was also the first time I had been more impressed with a console port than the actual arcade game.

So I'm still the only Lei player ever, right?

Also, Tekken 4 was my first Tekken game, and as a result I fucking hate all the others, especially Tekken 3 and Tag.

Lei is limited and shitty in those and has no interesting combos or varied moves. In 4 he's actually fun and varied, even if his 10 hit combo sucks dicks.

Lei is awesome, I'm just not good enough to play him.

And he's good in Tag and 3, just different. My friend could fucking juggle the shit out of people with him in 3.

he sucked in 2 where he was too basic. in 3 and tag he had those strange stance flows that were awesome. i never bothered with him after that because steve was more fun.

The only Tekken I really played was Tekken 3 for ps1 (I think). I liked using Eddy because his fighting style was, umm break-dancing?

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

Eddy is the greatest character ever. My friends used to refer to my Eddy playstyle as the smart mash, because I could readily duplicate most moves whenever I felt like but I couldn't tell you what buttons I was hitting if my life depended on it.

yeah, and I'm sure it was the same few moves repeatedly, right?

I once played tekken 3 a a local pizerrea, and after putting my quarters in, I discovered that the joystick was broken, and ended up with eddy. I beat the ENTIRE game by just using the two kick buttons and whatever directions still kind of worked on the joystick.

in fact, ninety percent of his gameplay is simply doing those stupid kick strings.

his shirt looks like a bra and he dresses like a bananna.

No, I learned to vary it up. My friend who actually owned the Tekken games was retardedly good and he'd always learn the high level strategies for the top tier guys. When we first started playing, I would do the same two kicks over and over again. But it got very predictable and he wised up to that right away and it began blocking everything and I mean EVERYTHING that I did. I had to learn to vary up between high and low moves and not to keep mashing into Eddy's auto-combos because they left me wide open.

But yeah, you can beat the computer very easily just by mashing with Eddy. The difference though is that computer doesn't notice the recurring pattern in your gameplay.

So play as Tiger. Everyone likes Tiger. Or in the later games where Tiger doesn't exist, Christy.
