From Destructiod:
Hear that rumbling in the distance? That's the sound of a tsunami, brought on by the overactive salivary glands of a few thousand RPG lovers who've just heard the news about Cross Edge, a new PS3 game in development by Compile Heart.
Namco Bandai has joined forces with Capcom, Nippon Ichi, Gust and Idea Factory, to tell the story of a world whose only means of survival is to consume and destroy the souls of other worlds. Not much else is known about the game at this point, except that it will feature characters from Disgaea, Darkstalkers, Air Tonelico and Atelier Marie, likely among many others to be revealed in the coming months.

On the PS3, it's boring. Put it on the DS and it's solid gold.

Yeah, I'm sorry to sound like a dick and bring down the mood, here, but I just can't get into JRPG'S anymore. They were fun for a while up until sometime in the PS1 era, now I've lost my taste for the genre. There's really never anything new in them. It's usually a scripted 20-hour game where you have to collect special crystals, and fight some kind of variation on turn-based gameplay with one gimmick. I know Western RPG's aren't exactly all terribly original, but at least some of them will try some new things from time to time.
I don't know, all of those companies' products have been alright though, so I guess I'll keep up with it, and possibly wait for a 360 port if it looks good.

So here's to you Mrs. Robinson. People love you more- oh, nevermind. |

seriously man, I get the point that everyone here has a huge hard on for nintendo systems, but lets not start bashing a game for being on another system until we at least learn a bit more about the gameplay and stuff.

Well, in my defense, I only said it to be a douche.
A good game is a good game, and almost every console has at least one. I'm not so sure about the Jaguar.

Yes, Virtual Boy did.
The Virtual Boy's Wario Land is held in very high regard, and many consider it to be the only good game ever released for the system. Panic Bomber and Mario's Tennis are fairly well liked too, though they are not without their critics.

I'm a Disgaea fan, but I just have absolutely zero interest in this. I've never given a shit about any of those characters because the stories for those games are all so poor. The first Disgaea had a passable story but they obviously gave up with Disgaea 2.
But then again, I really had very little interest in SSBB either.

If they're not going to use the Street Fighter characters, then I have no interest in this. I have no idea who any of those characters are other than Darkstalkers, and I could care less for that franchise.
