I recently ordered a Power Pad off eBay, and it came today. So I decided to take my NES out of storage. I'm pretty sure I'm missing one of the pieces I need for it to work, but I don't know what. Here's what I have:

Your good with parts you actually have one too many shown. AV wires, Power Cord, Controllers, system. Unless your system is just a shell with no parts inside it i'd say your ready to slap your hands on the matt at high velocities ASAP.

You're missing an RF adapter, the av wires you've got are sound channels only only if you can find a similar cable with a white and yellow you can use the outputs on the right hand side of the nes to plug into most modern tvs though and say fuck off to the rf adapter.

The NES doesn't have a yellow video jack in the back, just a white jack for mono audio. I seem to recall needing a little grey box or some that hooked up to the cable box.

The grey box is the RF switch

yeah. the RF switch. if you have an SNES RF switch, you can use that instead of your NES one.

The white hole at the back is for the (insert joke here) adaptor that powers the NES

on the side there are a
yellow and red holes use dvd cables for them if you don't have the grey box.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.

Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

There is no difference between the RCA audio and video cables. Just plug the red to red and the white (NES) to yellow (TV), and it will work fine on your TV.

Thank you, I don't get why people can't comprehend that the color of the outside doesn't matter. You could plug the red one in the yellow of the NES and TV if you so wished. Plus the picture is supposedly better with the AV cords anyways.

Hammers are only helpful when you leave the power switch on, on a SNES and need to get a game in the system, oh and for destroying giant building sized boulders blocking your way.

Hammers also break barrels. They also used to be a guaranteed KO before Nintendo and HAL nerfed them.
