When I was a kid, I loved Garfield comics. I thought they were the coolest.

Then I got older, and realized that for the most part Garfield is one of those comics that actually isn't very funny in any way whatsoever, except for sort of a lame kind of way.

Unless.

Unless you remove Garfield from the strip, in which case it becomes less of a lame-funny comic and more of a hilarious commentary on the lives of pathetic, single suburban men.

Just check it out:

Those comics are awesome! Either way you slice it, whether garfield doesn't talk or just isn't there, this solves one of those great mystery of life:

Would a Jon without Garfield represent what Jim Davis' sanity in real life is like?

Thanks to this online comic, we all know the truth now.

Now for an even greater mystery of life:

Whatever happened to Lyman?
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Garfield_characters#Lyman
Judging by Jon's actions in Garfield minus Garfield, i wouldn't venture in Jon's basement.

The randomizer is back? Jim Davis had filed a legal injunction against the original one.

Apparently the original creator distributed the source code and other people put new websites online. Apart from the one I posted I know one other currently operating.

Looking for one is how I found this site over 2 years ago.
I did eventually find one, and I think I still have it bookmarked at home. I think there are several sites that still have it up and running.

				This is hilarious!
I got to show this to some of my friends. Has anyone tried this same thing with Peanuts comics?
