From the 8-bit: A cinematic action platformer with a high difficulty level.

From the 16-bit: A platforming epic pitting two primates against invading reptiles and their subordinates.

Both of these games have had poll-winning sequels, though the former's second sequel didn't make the first list. Will it be two for two or three for three? You decide.

That's tough. I went with DKC cause it's the only one I actually owned, and therefore spent a lot more time with it...

1-Ninja versus Gorrilla in a tie. Ninja gaiden wins.
2-Fight way through several levels using ninja powers versus collect bananas. Ninja Gaiden wins.
3-Great for its time cutscenes versus "I gotsa get more bananas". Ninja Gaiden.
4-Damn bird versus not damn bird. DK

3 out of 4 for ninja gaiden. And really, that bird was not that hard, theres a timing to it. Just be sure to be far enough forward that he doesnt respawn infinitely.

DKC was a great romp, but being good at Ninja Gaiden is like a zen thing.
