I've never even seen an Arby's. Arby's, Quiznos and Sonic have a lot to answer for since they're always showing me commercials full of delicious looking food and they have no locations anywhere near me. Well, Quiznos did, but I was too lazy to go there and they closed eventually.

Sonic is not bad. I love their limeade's but overall, kind of overrated for the price.
quiznos = good but pricey.

and taco bell is not really foreign food.
now if you are out here in the SW, and you eat filibertos or betos or ralibertos or whatever other bertos is out there, then thats foreign food and its only good at 3am when you are drunk and mexican food sounds good. be careful next morning. |
_______bertos is what we call those places.

Well, where I live, it seems like half of the time its a buck and sometimes its not. I think they may run specials on it quite frequently.
As far as everyone who says they ate someplace once and it sucked so they never went back, I can't do that. If it sucks the first three times, I'm probably done. Everyplace sucks sometimes. I just have to make sure that I didn't just eat there on a bad day. Maybe they had some dipshit in the kitchen that day.
A bigger turn off for me than shitty (two "ts" in shitty or just one?) food is shitty service. Where I live, KFC/Taco Bell and Dairy Queen fuck up my order everytime.
I've also got a funny story about KFC/Taco Bell. A guy I know was in there and said no onions on his burito or whatever he got. He hollered back at the cook to make sure not to put onions on it. The smartass cook told him he could just come back and make it himself. So he jumped over the counter, punched the guy out, and did make it himself. I never believed it. But several people said they were there and it did happen like that.

Quiznos is fucking delish. I could eat it three meals a day like that Super Size Me dickweed did with McDonalds.

Shitty has two t's.
That's a funny story.
Whenever my buddy and I go to McD's, he orders somewhere in the ballpark of 8 or 9 double cheeseburgers (he's thin as a rail). He orders every one without pickles or onions, which seems to piss everyone off.
Someday we're gonna go in there and order a mass amount of burgers, each one different.

McDonalds used to have a trashcan on the right side of your car at the drivethrough window. When I first got my license, me and a buddy went through and ordered 12 waters. As they handed them to me, I handed them to my buddy and he just tossed them in the trash. When the chick at the window realized what we were doing she got real pissed.
Has anybody ever successfully made it throu a drivethrough backwards?

I'm surprised no one's mentioned Chik-fil-a. Pricy food but it's the best damn chicken sandwich i've ever had. Their shakes are nice and thick too, good enough to get that vein in your forehead to come out yet be worth it.
As for the merger, this displeases me greatly. The last thing I need with my baconator is wheat bread with apple bits in it.

I haven't gone through backwards, but my buddy (same guy) and I tried to walk through. After standing at the order speaker for like ten minutes, we finally decided to wal to the pay window. The overweight hispanic guy who shared some characteristics with Anthony Anderson in Harold and Kumar told us he'd get fired if he served us. Just then someone was pulling up to the speaker, so we hopped in his car, and got our food...then we walked over to KFC and ate.

I never really eat at wendys or arbys so I'm apathetic.
Taco Bell however, is a place that I hate. Partly because I live in New Mexico, and can't go two feet without running into a genuine mexican food restaurant with fresh local ingredients and chile thats actually hot versus the "Fire" sauce in packets.

Wow, so if Tim Horton's* was already owned by Wendy's, now Arby's owns Wendy's which presumably still 'owns' Tim's?
*Flagrantly Canadian content.

I've had Quiznos twice in my life and both times were utter letdowns. It was overpriced and it didn't taste even slightly better than Subway. In fact, their meatball sub was fucking retarded. The goddamn meatballs were flat, everything tasted bland, it was a goddamn ripoff, etc. Hello morons, it's called a meatBALL sandwich, not a fucking meat slice bullshit sandwich. The place insists on itself to an irritating degree. I swear 99% of the "great taste" people get from eating there is shoving their own head up their ass after they've soaked in the the self-promotion blurbs all over the walls ("Mmm! TOASTY! IT'S TOASTY, AND CRUNCH, AND MMM, WE USE SOUNDS TO DESCRIBE OUR FOOD BECAUSE WE'RE FUCKING MORONS! DO YOU BELIEVE IT'S TOASTYCRUNCH YET?") while waiting in line for 5 hours because it's an overrated shithole with 90 people waiting to be served.
Same bullshit appeal as Chipotle. Find a goddamn local sandwich / mexican / what the fuck ever shop and stop eating overrated treadmill garbage food.

Quizno's meatball sandwich does certainly suck. I stick to the classic italian sub. Very nice.
It's hard for me to eat at Taco Bell because of Chipotle's greatness. I don't care what Murdar says, their burritoes taste like ambrosia. Besides, most of the local "authentic" shops are in the city, and I live in the 'burbs. Those places always look dirty anyway. I feel like I'm risking my life whenever I do eat at them. I prefer my tacos without rat feces.

It's funny, you'd think the taco trucks and such are shitty and filthy, right? But the thing is, those guys are the ones that are actually hit up by the health officials most often. That means they're actually some of the cleanest places you can get your grub at.
I'm a taco truck veteran and I can safely say I've gotten the shits more times from chain food places than local stuff, I actually haven't ever gotten the shits from a taco truck.

Authentic mexican food from hole in the wall type places are always the best. I used to eat at taco bell a lot before I discovered actual mexican food and I can never go back. Del Taco is not bad for fast food mexican though, but fuck taco bell. Wendy's is pretty decent, but the closest one is like 30 minutes away so it's not really an option. I'll never eat at burger king or mcdonald's either, both disgust me. These days I try to avoid fast food in general, but the places I still go to are Carl's Jr. (their six dollar burgers are the best fast food burgers by far I think), Jack in the Box (their chipotle ciabatta chicken sandwiches are awesome, and the tacos will always be a drunk/high classic, despite how greasy they are and how disgusting they look) and Quizno's (never had the meatball, but the mesquite or honey mustard chicken have been a long time favorite, and the new prime rib ranchero is also fantastic)

No Carl's Jr.'s in Canada either. I'm glad, cuz I'd never pay $6 for a fuckin fast food burger.
Tuck, thank you for that Timmy Ho's plug, now I'm gonna go to the one down the block and gets me an extra large double-double and maybe a motherfucking Honey Cruller!

It actually doesn't cost 6 dollars (though some of them are getting up there), it's just called that because it's supposed to be comparable in quality to restaurant burgers that do cost that much...

I go to whatever fast-food place I feel most like and wherever has prices I can afford. Because I'm such a damn cheapskate I usually just buy two things on the dollar menu (usually two different things). So far, I've had the best experiences with Wendy's and Jack in the Box, so that's where I go most often. I don't have any restaurants I outright hate. I even like Taco Bell, but I will admit I prefer Taco Bueno because of their hugeass platter meals. Also, I know and accept that it isn't really authentic Mexican.
I like Quizno's, but I agree with Murdar for the most part. It's really overrated and the prices are high for what you get. Their subs really don't taste that much better than Subway, and they're easily twice the price.
Arby's frustrates the hell out of me because of their asinine deals. It used to be five roast beef sandwiches for five bucks which was a fine deal. Now it's like... what? TWO roast beef sandwiches for five bucks? That isn't a deal, morons. If they go through with this buyout and Wendy's starts having "Three Texas Double Cheeseburgers for seven bucks!" deals, I'm rioting. You are all welcome to join me.
AND ANOTHER THING, I've never liked Chipolte or Freebirds (which is basically just a more yuppie version of Chipolte). Their burritos are nice, but they're incredibly expensive (for me, at least), and I keep getting dragged there by friends with too much money on their hands. Maybe I'm just speaking out of poverty. I mean, anger.
