From the 8-bit: A point-and-click adventure game with multiple characters, scenarios and endings.
From the 16-bit: A polygonal space shooter starring anthropomorphic animals piloting spacecraft through surreal environs.
Take your pick.

I'm going with Starfox. I love that game and I love the franchise it spawned. I mean, MM is cool, but it's just not the same.

Maniac Mansion!
They should have ported the sequel Day of The Tentacle to the super nintendo and utilized the mouse.

Maniac Mansion is probably one of my favorite games ever for any platform. All the different ways to beat the game, all the creative ways to kill your characters. All of the funny stuff you can do (break out the windows at the publishing company).
Anybody who has never played this game needs to. Its ranked this high for a reason.
