I'm basically unable to get excited about any new PC games these days, because everything I hear about is a multi platform 360 release as well as a PC game, or worse yet, it's released on the 360 first, with an inordinate waiting period between the console and PC release.

Maybe if developers weren't such lazy shits, people would actually take the time to make PC games that took full advantage of the superior depth of control that an entire keyboard full of keys and a mouse offered. Instead we get watered down bullshit like Shadowrun and Bioshock, where circle strafing at 1 mph using pussy weapons are the only options. I'm tired of simplified menus, simplified game elements, and overall dumbed down game mechanics. Any game that's designed for a console is not only inferior outright, but it's a complete travesty when you're not even allowed to take advantage of the full potential of the fact you're playing on a PC when you play it.

When I played games back in the day, the reason I had hope for the future of the industry was that I had hope that the games would fulfill the potential that was limited at the time by hardware. Instead of more expansive game worlds with actual good dialog and AI, or advanced inventory and player skill systems, we get Deus Ex Invisible War repackaged to 50 different reskins. What happened to shit like X-com, or Tie Fighter? Nothing feels like it has any potential to move forward anymore, it just feels like a rehash of shit from 5 years ago but with a bunch of slimy pixel shader semen all over it. RPG's have devolved into shitty grindfests that exploit your need for progress.

The only games I get entertainment out of anymore are handheld games and old PC games. Games like Continuum.

Download Continuum and come play! It's good fun.

Murdar Machene tells it like it is.

Supreme Commander is cool though if I could only get FORGED ALLIANCE TO WORK FOR GODDESS SAKES.

I've been unable to get excited about new games for a while now, I tend to stick to older ones. It might be a good thing on one hand because I'm saving money, but I'm sure I'm missing at least a few enjoyable games. Neutral
