If you haven't heard about it, it stars Jackie Chan AND Jet Li!

Plot:
“A bullied New York teenager (Michael Angarano) obsessed with Hong Kong cinema and classic Kung Fu movies one day he discovers a legendary warrior’s staff in a Chinatown pawnshop, which transports him back to ancient China.”

Thus combining my favorite movies: The Neverending Story, Sidekicks, and Warriors of Virtue.

I've been looking forward to a movie like this for a long time. We need more movies that follow the "nerd in video-game land" tradition.

couldnt find a topic so i made one up.

anyhow, as a kids movie its great. little kids will eat this movie up like crazy.

as a regular movie, im torn. i thought the 1 fight that jackie chan and jet li had was amazing. but it was only 1 fight. they shouldve had more fights between them 2 imo. the asian chicks were hot. but not enough jet vs jackie argh. i did like that it didnt take itself too seriously and was silly at times, kind of like almost poking fun at itself.

so as a movie, i enjoyed it, just wish it had more jet vs jackie. you cannot make a movie w/those two and only have one fight scene.

I liked it quite a bit. Jet Li comes off kind of creepy when he laughs big, but I enjoyed the Monkey King fight sequences. The only reason the white boy was thrown into the mix was to make it more marketable over here.

jet li needs to learn english. badly.

but it was a lot better at telling the journey to the west story than i imagined it to be.

Wow, this movie would have kicked so much ass in 1999.

Saw it last night. Me and my friends agreed to a high six, in that it had good things but some big flaws. Also, some notes:

Jet Li is always very silent in his movies because when he isnt he is very awkward.

Its a bad day when Jackie Chan could tell someone that they need to work on their english.

The main character was a poor man's Shia LePoof.

That guy who played Lupo had an excellent kick. Why not him as the main character?

There is one really great fight scene and there was one really great comedy scene, nothing else was too much.
