Target pisses me off. There's one right next to where I work, so I tend to buy video games there whenever possible because it's convenient. Unfortunately, they're complete retards about what they carry. You want a budget title from a major game studio, like Sega's House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return? Too bad, they don't carry it. You want Okami, the best received title to come out for the Wii this year besides Brawl? Too bad, they don't carry it.

But they do carry just about every crappy kid's game and no-name budget title that comes out. To be fair, they also stock the obvious choices like Twilight Princess, Prime 3, and RE4, but those games have all been out FOREVER.

Don't forget the people in Home Electronics, know nothing about Home Electronics.

Conversation I had with Target Employee 2 weeks ago:

Me: Do you guys carry DVI cables?

Target Guy: What Cables?

Me: DVI, you know for hooking a computer into a monitor?

Target Guy: You mean like for a TV?

Me: Nevermind... Please, go shoot yourself.

They have some people who know stuff about electronics at mine. The problem is, they're often out back unloading TVs or whatever. So someone from a nearby department like DVDs or HBC has to cover.

I think I went shopping for Brawl either the day after or 2 days after it came out, and Best Buy nor Game Stop had it at the mall. I was about to travel 10 minutes down the road to a KB toy store, when I thought it was worth looking in Target (also at said mall), and lo and behold, they had it.

God bless Target. Very Happy

I have DVI inputs on my TV, so unless the conversation went a little differently I can see why he would say that. Thats how my PS3 is hooked up sweet ass picture too.

Toy'R'Us has a special atleast at the location closest to me, where you buy 1 game and you get $10 off another game. They carry loads of shit and no one even synonimizies them with Video Games anymore.

Yeah, if you're looking for a first party Nintendo title, they'll have about a million copies of it when it comes out.

But I'm heading in there tomorrow looking for The World Ends With You for the DS and I bet they won't be carrying it.

Fuck, man, good luck.

If I can't find something anywhere, I always try the specialty shops we have around here, like Game Exchange. Target is too far up for me to look, anyway.

I find myself ordering more and more games online. A lot of retailers have crappy selections, and I hate dealing with GameStop. Their store is a fucking closet and you don't know if they actually have the game you want until you ask the clerk. And before you can ask the clerk, you'll have to wait in line behind five people, at least one of whom is an adult buying a game for someone else and they probably don't even know the name of the fucking game.

"Uh yeah, do you have Forbidden Planet for the 360 Xbox?"

Wow, you really cut down how that conversation went, you can't forget about his mindless rambles trying to keep us there to keep him company because of how badly he hates his life.
