Isn't Venom supposed to be bigger than Spider-Man?

Yes, but it was just Spidey in the black suit so it's alright.

Fuirst of that last scene was taken directly from the Animated series from the lat e
90's.

They already killed off the film with the death of Osborn and his waves.

This Film totaly blows where he rips off Venom and in ho episodeSand Man is that big.

Personally, The "3" trailer (as it's been dubbed) is one of the best teasers I've seen. Sony was not afraid to show the goods. Already I can tell you that it's done right.

As for any comic-nerd complaints, we know my stance on the separation of church and state.

I was reading earlier, don't remember where, that the last scene was just for the teaser and not actually in the movie. The "Venom ripping" is in the church so the church bell probobly drives the symbiote crazy, plus Raimi said this movie is the furthest he has gotten from the source material. What are Osborns waves?

I don't think Regal will ever give you an answer Wink

The church bell part was in the comics too, since the suit is vulnerable to really loud noises. Basically the venom suit is autistic.

But I'm sure you already knew that since you alluded to it going crazy.

Eddie Brock/Venom: We're going to kill you Peter
Cain: You're still a dumbass.

I have the book with Cain in it baxed up at the moment, can't remember the title though. Last time I bought the books actually. If that's what you mean anyway.

Despite how confusing that sounds, no that's not what it's referencing.

The official 2.5 minute trailer airs tonight on several stations and websites. I can't wait.

I don't like the "Sandman is your uncle's real killer" angle at all. Seems forced in order to make the fight more personal. The symbiote story looks like it will be nice and dark though. I wish there was more Topher Grace in the trailer, as I'm really looking forward to him playing Eddie Brock. He's such a great actor. I think they're setting up Venom for the next movie though, and that he'll only appear at the end.

Overall, it looks mixed, just like the first two movies. The darker angle gives it hope though, as the first two were held back by their comic nature.

I've watched the trailer a few times now. On one hand I liked it because of how busy it was. It set up the multiple plotlines nicely and gives us time to digest them in time for the real film when "surprise twists" are introduced.

However, a part of me was disappointed. The real trailer for Spider-Man 2 was fantastic. The teaser for Spider-Man 3 damn near destroyed my mental capabilities [i'm such a nerd... *sigh* Embarrassed ]. This new trailer didn't really excite me as much. Something was missing.

I agree with Cattivo that the Sandman is your real uncle's killer is kinda lame. Is it the same character? Some conspiracy? I'm a little lost. I understand it's needed to make Spidey driven by revenge, but if Gwen is being added, couldn't "revenge" be added later? Venom looking fun, but what does he do that's so terrible? Hobgoblin/Green Goblin II is looking hella fun. I know it felt like "too many villains" by the time the trailer introduced him, but this is the showdown I've been waiting for.

The marriage subplot? I don't know. Kirsten Dunst has been saying she might do a fourth one, so I assume she doesn't die. And who knows where Gwen is going... Will Harry kill her? Probably not in this film.

Enough speculation. I'm sure the real film will be amazing.

i dson't if it means anything to anyone else, but Gwen is Eddie's girlfriend in the beginning, and she starts to really like petey...i just thought that was kind of a neat twist...good revenge thing for Brock/Venom
