i havent finished the SSE myself, but i dont really care for it. I actually enjoyed the adventure mode from SSBM instead, mostly because it was shorter and didnt have some weird story trying to tie everything together. i dont hate the SSE, but i dont think it was necessary to include it in the game. but whatev.

You know what pissed me off? When Bowser falls off the cliff then rises back up in his clown car... and escape. That should have been a fucking boss battle. I mean, you fight Ridley twice and fucking Galleon twice, and then they tease the classic SMW boss battle and fail to deliver on it. WHAT THE FUCK?
In fact, the Clown Car should have been Bowser's final smash. That would have been way better than having him turn into some bullshit character they invented for Melee. Dropping bowling balls and wind-ups FTW would have been kickass.

I would have to agree, even though I love the Giga Bowser design.

A friend of mine used Bowser's final smash in the bottom of the Mario Brothers stage winding up totally stuck.

I liked Giga Bowser in Melee. He's cool as a super cheap bastard motherfucker who you have to beat to get a trophy. But as a final smash... meh.
Hell, Giga Bowser would have made a good SSE boss. You don't even get to fight him in so much as a challenge.

I was playing against Jew online one time and he got stuck playing Sonic in the Mario Bros. level. I really thought he was going to be totally fucked over when he turned into Super Sonic, but apparently you CAN'T fly off the side of a level with Super Sonic.

you have no idea how many times I DON'T WANT to use a smash attack, but know I have to try to grab it so someone else doesn't use it on me.

I actually tried to see if you can fly off the edge as Super Sonic the first time I got it.
And I agree about the ZSS/Smash Ball thing.

i thought zero suit samus smash was useless until i realized that it still sucks people in and does damage to them when converting from ZSS to regular SA

I don't think ZSS's Final Smash is useless, but the problem is turns you into Regular Samus... the character I never bothered to learn in the first two games. Plus going from a fast character to a slower character is quite disorienting.

ok i understand what you mean syd. but i dont mind regular SA. her smash rocket (the one that isnt a homing one) works well to disorient people and does some decent damage. but thats just me.

well, samus was my main in melee, so it isn't TOO bad, but I don't like the changes they made to her in brawl. it's very odd going from dominating with a fast combo friendly whore to the equivalent of an agile tank.
in long games, however, I don't mind, because that means the next smash ball will let me use that big bang laser.
I find peach's special frustrating, because it drops a motherfuckton of healing items that anyone can grab.

this is interesting. I interpreted it more as gannondorf was loyal to master hand, but didn't care for bowser, then when he found out master hand was being cotrolled he attacked tabuu.

I agree. I thought that Bowser and Gannondorf were both loyal to the Hand, and didn't like each other.
Then when Gannondorf found out about Tabuu, he reluctantly joins the heroes because it's his only chance at survival.
I wish they hadn't cut that stuff with Dedede and Meta Knight. The explanation about Dedede was interesting. I didn't quite get what was going on with the medallions. I like how they stayed loyal to Dedede's character. He can be egotistical and selfish, and he's fairly inept, but he's not truly evil and there's never any real malice in his actions.
