I tried going straight through All Star mode with all 35 characters yesterday and eventually I just sort of dozed off midbattle. I've never ever done that before.

You should not pass out while playing videogames.
Its never happened to me, but I tend to pace myself and for the longest time I played in a very uncomfortable chair.

Yup... in FF3 (North America), I was in the process of trying to have 255 battles with the cursed shield so it would turn to the paladin shield. Endlessly mashing A = me dozing off WHILE fighting. It's a surreal experience.

Thou, because I am wroth, be not dismayed, for I shall win the strife, whoever circle round within for the defence. This their insolence is not new, for of old they used it at a less secret gate, which still is found without a bolt. Above it thou didst see the dead inscription; and already on this side of it
descends the steep, passing without escort through the circles,
One such that by him the city shall be opened to us. |

A while back, I was playing Metroid Fusion in my dorm room at around 4 AM. I was kinda drifting in and out, and then at one point, my attention snapped to when I picked up an Energy tank, and I realised that I had Samus standing in a room I'd never been to before with no idea how I'd gotten there. I decided then that it was time to quit.
To date I still haven't made it back to that room.

I'll occasionally play Diablo 2 after work while I wait to go to bed. One time I just started losing focus of the screen so I stopped.

I've slept and played Brawl like the day after it came out. I kinda remember I was in Lylat Cruise using Fox and I fell asleep. My friend came in my house (don't know how the fuck he got in) and seen me sleeping and playing (he said my eyes were half open and twitching. Then he said he saw the T.V. and saw fox flying around beating the shit out of everyone.
I think I'm better when I'm sleep playing but that's just because I don't try that much any more I guess
As for Diablo 2 I lose focus in that game sometimes when I first wake up and play it, I'm still half asleep and I don't know how the fuck I ended up getting chased by a brute or some shit.

I'm so bananas I'm showing up to your open casket,
to fill it up with explosive gases,
and close it back,
with a lit match in it,
while I sit back, and just hope it catches.
Blow you to fragments,
laugh,
roll you, and smoke the ashes.

It's common for me to doze off while playing RPG's. A notable instance I remember falling asleep was collecting junk in the Museum of Natural History in Parasite Eve. I'd pass out for about ten minutes and continue, no biggie. Another instance I remember was playing JetMoto 2 with a buddy. He fell asleep at the starting line, I wasn't sure what the hell was going on so I kept playing. When I finished I woke him up and I figured he was too tired to play. I think it's okay to fall asleep playing certain games like RPG's. Platformers and racing games should never be played in a state of fatigue. And the same goes for games with a countdown timer. Haven't fallen asleep playing games recently, but then again I don't play as many games as I used to.

Probably a bad idea just because you don't get the full expereince of the game. I've done it many times because I tend to combine drinking with playing video games, mnay a time I've woken up passed out with the controller on the floor and the title screen cycling because I died.

Endurance Races in the Gran Turism series have caused me to nod off a time or two. Especially ones that take place on the "High Speed Ring".

I've lost count how many times I've fell asleep playing games. The most memorable was my second time through metal gear solid 2. They just talked too much in that game and when I got to the end all the talking put me to sleep.

Never. I can almost always find my way to the bed, unless I'm in a place where my bed isn't. Then I stay up because I'm paranoid about people going all Jigglypuff on me.

I share similar experiences with these games, minue jetmoto. I used to fall asleep all the time while playing final fantasy 8.
I once had a friend fall asleep during an online halo 2 game, and I totally lost because of it.
actually, back when I was holding more than one job I would pass out alot during games. I remember a friend watchign me play wild arms 2 and had to keep waking me up, and another time while I was trying to stay awake through the credits in guitar hero 2 to unlock the achievement.

I have never fallen asleep while playing a video game, although I find myself dozing off while grinding in RPGs.
I nearly passed out after grinding for hours in Final Fantasy IX. I was so pissed off when I discovered that I still couldn't beat Ozma afterwards. He's a bitch.
