I like my current glasses but they need to be updated with new lenses.

The glasses are rimless, so I need to send them out to have the new lenses installed. Since I cannot legally drive without glasses, I need to buy a cheap pair to hold me over for a week or two.

Fuck Lense Crafters for charging a minimum of $50 for lenses WITH insurance. I'm doing this 2008 style and plan to to make my shopping trip a virtual one.

It really depends on your eye sight. I have like -9.5 and -8.5 so any glasses I would ever get are huge pop bottle glasses, the bigger the frame the less bottle like they are though. I can't stand putting shit in my eye but I went with contacts. I am legally blind without them...

I'm assuming since they were rimless that your eyes aren't as bad as mine? (There I go assuming again)

The prescription is sitting on a table all the way across the room. I could get up and be precise... but I could also stay seated on my ass.

Lets just say it is bad enough I can't drive without glasses, but the thickness isn't an issue. So I can wear any frames.

I think we're about the same. My eye-sight is just ridiculous. I always give people my glasses to try on because their reaction is hilarious.

I mentioned getting contacts to my friends back all those years ago and they laughed and said the contact would stick out from my eye that I wouldn't be able to blink. It would be hard to pick a frame for someone Ive never seen because there are a lot of things that look good on some and dumb on others. Certain peoploe can pull off the thick frames some people cant.

LOL, the Clark Kent glasses are great.

You think they could get me out of a traffic ticket if I wore them while I drive around?

Fuck glasses, get lasik. I can't stand my glasses, and contacts are a hassle. You'll save alot of time and money just by getting it done. I haven't, but my bro has, and it works for him.
