I think I'll make a series of polls. Stallone did a lot more shit than Schwarzenegger, however.
I choose Rambo III.

I'm gonna side with Stallone himself on this one and go with "Stop! Or My Mom Will Shoot".

Stop or My Mom Will Shoot. Paradise Alley gets an honorable mention. Spy Kids was a kiddie film so its hard to criticize. Antz was better though.

I thnk you're confused, this is the *worst* topic, not the best? pfft....
I mean..arm wrestling to get custody of your kid.......I don't see any problems with that. I'm sure he totally had to research the gritty underground arm wrestling/truck driving scence.
Oh wait...I destroyed my own point....dang.

I enjoy Judge Dredd even though it's bad. Same thing with Demolition Man and Tango & Cash. They're good, pointless popcorn flicks.

yeah, except for the whole fact that they showed Dredd's face whereas in the comics its NEVER shown. that was a little frustrating, but otherwise the movie was mindless fun otherwise.

I've never seen the comics, so that was never important to me.
That could never have worked in a movie anyway. The audience needs to see a face to their hero, and the actor needs to emote.
Darth Vader is the only character in film that I know of that could go through an entire movie with a helmet/mask on, and that was solely based on the strength of James Earl Jones' voice. Even Rick Moranis in the spoof "Spaceballs" had to open the helmet regularly to conduct the movie.
I think there might be others, if so, I imagine the mystery to the character would keep the premise afloat - if it's for a villain. It's nearly impossible for a hero role.

I gotta go with Rocky Balboa, not because of the movie itself but because he left me wanting another Rocky that I will never see.

Spy Kids deserves to be criticized more harshly. That shit was so bad that I openly curse at the TV when my younger siblings watch it.

Tango and Cash was the worst, because it was a good movie until the end. The whole super SUV scene sucked cock.

I hate country enough to pick Rhinestone, but it was a tough choice.
The Italian Stallion gets good points for being HILARIOUS.

Itallion Stallion - Never saw it, never want to.
Staying Alive - This gets my vote.
Rhinestone - SO FUNNY!!!
Over the Top - Also amusing.
Rambo III - Love it! Sure it's gratuitous, but that's why we like it.
Rocky V - I don't like it, but it's hardly his worse.
Stop! Or my Mom Will Shoot - I like it. First time I saw it was with my mother on Mother's Day, so happy memories. ^_^
Judge Dredd - This is my favorite Stallone movie and fuck any one who thinks it's worse than Gigli.
Get Carter - Again, I love it, but only because the Michael Caine version wasn't great.
Driven - I saw this in theaters and praised it because they never spent more than a minute on drama.
Spy Kids 3D: Game Over - A terrible movie made enjoyable because of Stallone.

Fuck, I actually LIKE Get Carter, mostly because of the kick-ass soundtrack and to see Stallone get the shit beaten out of him by Mickey Rourke.

Itallion Stallion - If you ask me, the ability to make you laugh and cry in the same scene is a trait of a quality flick.
Staying Alive - Though he directed and co-wrote it, I don't really consider it a Stallone flick.
Rhinestone - I picked this because I think it is the worst of the bunch. But since I love Stallone movies, I can still enjoy this. I probably could have picked other and came up with a worse pick than this, but I didn't want to take the time to look.
Over the Top - The fact that this is even on the list is blasphemous. This is a great 80s movie. Was it a top quality cinematic masterpiece? No. Was in a little cheesy? Of course. But this is what the 80s was all about. The film was made in 87. The 88 Academy Award for best picture went to The Last Emporer. Was this movie better? Sure. But if I have to pick one to watch, I'll take Over the Top, ten times out of ten.
Rambo III - First Blood is my favorite Stallone movie and easily the best Rambo (haven't seen the new one yet). Rambo: First Blood Part II had a transition from what the first movie was into a high body count shoot 'em up bloodbath, which is a awesome genre in its own right. The transformation was complete in Rambo III. Insane body count and fighting impossible odds. The more scenes in Rambo III that made me say, "no way that just happened", the better. It is awesome for exactly the opposite reason that First Blood was awesome. One is a top tier quality movie, IMO, and the other is a top quality cheesy 80s shoot everything killing machine movie.
Rocky V - I actually like Rocky V. Its a lot better than part 5. That one sucked! But I really did like it. Not as much as the others. But I think I like it better than Rocky Balboa. Balboa was a good movie in and of itself. But with the up to date modern take on boxing with names you know, for me, takes away from the gritty, old school films that all of the others were. Making it modern, and attempting to make it more realistic ruined it for me. But Rocky V, while being the worst of the first five, still holds up to what Rocky is all about.
Stop! Or my Mom Will Shoot - This is one of those awful, ridicules, movies, full of cheese, with no pre conceived intentions of being a quality movie...and I love it. For a guy who loves straight to video releases, 80s horror flicks, B-movies, and insanely awful movies, I figure if I can love Leonard Part 6 Howard the Duck, and Caddyschack 2, why not this movie?
Judge Dredd - I haven't watched this as much as the other Stallone movies. So I dn't have as strong of emotional ties to it. But I like it enough that I can watch it whenever its on and enjoy myself.
Get Carter - I heard all of my friends say how much this sucked. But these are the same friends who think the new Transformers movie is better than the animated one from 86 and think that CGI Hulk is better than Lou Ferrigno. So I never really listen to what they think anyhow. But I watched it and really liked it. Not as much as most Stallone movies. But it was much better than I thought people gave it credit for.
Driven - I liked it. It wasn't amazing or anything. But I didn't think it sucked.
Spy Kids 3D: I've never seen it. But the fact that it is targeted for kids may make it harder for me as an adult to be critical in comparison to the others listed. For a lot of kid movies, it is what it is.
There aren't really a lot of movies from Stallone that I can't stand. If he is on, I will usually watch him. If you are looking for a mainstream Hollywood blockbuster, or a movie with Oscar potential, or a movie with no traces of cheese, grit, or gratuitous violence/killing, his movies probably aren't for you anyways. But if you like all of these things, none of these movies are really THAT bad.

Wait, what?
Actually, "Tango & Cash" is a Stallone movie I don't like too much. I guess I thought Stallone and Russell would be a kickass unstoppable team and the script's just LAME. Then there's "Assassins" which I only dislike because I read the Wachowski and the Helgeland rewrite drafts before I saw the film. After an insanely good script and then a slightly less awesome version, we ended up with the really subpar Donner version... Donner, you gave us Superman: The Movie! But why do a lot of your projects crumble to embarrassing pieces!?

Ha. I kind of stole that from Beavis and Butthead when they were talking about Rocky. I can't remember if it was during a Survivor video or what. They were calling it Rocky Vee, as in the letter as opposed to the Roman numeral. But I just can't help myself even though it is a lame joke.
I thought Tango & Cash was okay. But even though both actors are capable of so much more, I didn't really watch it with very high expectations. And I recall liking Assassins. But then again, if I had read the same script before hand, I might not have liked it either.
One Stallone movie that a lot of people seem to dislike that I absolutely love is Oscar. It reminded me Clue meets the Godfather on speed. It has a lot of the same fast paced confusion that Clue has but with ten times the plot twists.

Rambo (4) was a sorry pathetic excuse for blowing people up with special effects.
Michael Bay blows things up and Sylvester Stallone blows people up. But who gives a fuck if a movie is pointless.

Over the Top was great. It was one of those movies that was so bad it was actually funny.
I go with STOP! or my Mom Will Shoot. It was trying to be funny, and i found it much less hilarious than Over the Top.

Um.. that was the point... to blow people up. I understand if it's not your cup of tea, but the movie was what it was.. I don't know how anyone could go in watching that movie and expect something more. It was meant to watch Rambo and company kill people in a bunch of different ways. I don't think every movie has to have a story to be entertaining. 300 was very entertaining because it was very dazzling visually. The story was just the setup for what it was.. a visually stimulating movie.
