I'm not sure how this could be a cool hack. Isn't the point of a hack to make it either more fun or more challenging? This is just an absurdly powerful Ryu easily breezing through the game. Not so much a hack as a complete waste of time, IMO.

On a semi-related note, has anyone played the "hack" of Goldeneye Source from Steam? It's been around for a while but it's finally out as a decent beta version. It's Goldeneye (multiplayer only) on the Half-Life engine. Pretty fucking sweet.

Here's the link.

thats the glitchiest thing I've ever seen!

it's great because the AI is unchanged, so the computer has NO IDEA how to react to a WALL of fireballs except "duck and block."

I made a mod of Wolf3D many years ago, where I simply changed the wall sprites to look like my Jr High School (Rows of lockers, banners, and wooden doors.) and , and changed the Nazi Sprites to teachers and such. (I just removed the swasticas and change the pants to blue and shirts to white.)

You know, in 1993 it wasn't a huge deal, and everyone I showed it to, thought it was funny. I even showed it to my mom, and she called me creative.

Man, you try to do something like now, and you will have angry parents, lawyers, congressmen, and the entire nations' media decend upon you in the blink of an eye.

I also really loved playing the DOOMED hack for Duke 3D. (You could multiplay all the DOOM levels with it.)

The super mario 2 hack where they're all black, and the title screen says "Please Kill Whitey."

I laughed at that for like an hour.
