I'd say Hellsing, but the American version is a piece of shit. Hunter Hunter is surprisingly good, and SGTfrog is pretty funny.

I loved tekkaman blade, hated slayers, and will check out the other three eventually.

I couldn't get into Hellsing. I realize that many Japanese cartoons are designed to have a beginning, middle, and end, but I feel like Hellsing was too condensed. There wasn't enough story, or enough fighting, or enough of anything really. Also, Paladin Anderson is the best character and they kinda ruined him in the anime. He was way cooler in the manga. Also, fuck the Anglican Church.
There's always Serial Experiments Lain. I don't know if I'd call it good, but it's kind of interesting.

I'm pretty sure you've seen most Gundam, so I won't bother with that. I suggest Trinity Blood, or Outlaw Star.

I know nothing of anime, so I'll just throw Trigun out there.

I really wish Vampire Hunter D was a show so I could recommend it.

I am just bitter about it. I wanted to see Alucard take on a Nazis vampire army, not some nude vampire.

I know, I am still bitter about it. I am still trying to find the OVAs in America because they are following the manga plot.
The music is amazing, I ended up getting one of the soundtracks because it was that good.

I'm feeling a bit torn here. On one hand, I work in a store that sells almost everything that's commercially available, so I have the product knowledge.
On the other hand, that one guy got shitcanned for saying he downloaded Press Start. Why is downloading anime any different?

It wasn't so much the fact that he downloaded the movie, it was how he went about letting us know that he downloaded the movie.
I think we can all agree that some of us are going to pirate, and some aren't. There's no real animosity between the two sides.
