I never did any of the glitches in Pokemon when I played it years ago because I was too afraid of messing up my game. 10 years later I try the trick with the old man in Viridian and:

Turns out that the hex value in the third letter of my trainer's name yields an infinite amount of Mewtwos along the Cinnabar coast. Fun times.

My favorite is the infinite money glitch in Oblivion (I talk about that game a lot, I know, but I played it for friggin' ever.) There was one unimportant NPC in the Imperial City that if you pissed him off enough, then killed him, the random amount of gold he had on him would transfer to your funds when you took it, but it would still be on his body to be taken again. And again and again and again. All you had to do was keep jamming on one button repeatedly and within an hour or so, you'd have an ass-ton of gold.

I like the infinite grenade glitch from the GCN remake of Resident Evil. I forget exactly how it worked, but by using the item storage box that was found at some save points, it was possible to generate infinite grenades. I forget exactly how it worked, but you had to put all your items in the item box, and put the Grenade Launcher (with one type of grenade in it) in a certain spot in the item box and then put the type of grenade you wanted infinite of in another specific spot in the item box. Then you had to quickly equip the Grenade Launcher, close the item box, reopen the item box, and mash A on the ammo in the storage box. It would load the new ammo into the Grenade Launcher multiple times, and I think it maxed out at 240. The glitch didn't work with other guns because no other gun had multiple types of ammo. The glitch also only worked with Jill because Chris couldn't get the Grenade Launcher. The glitch makes the speed run unlockables retardedly easy to get.

Contra 4 also has a pretty awesome glitch where if you lose your last life right as you earn an extra life, you end up with 99 lives.

My all time favorite glitch is the screen scroll glitch in link's awakening, I don't think I ever beat that game as a kid without abusing that one, and you could warp into all sorts of weird places.

I submitted this one to GameWinners.com a few years back. In Resident Evil Gaiden, if you tried to run from a fight and the highlighted character was packing the Gas Launcher, whether or not the cursor hit the target, you'd kill everything in front of you without expending a round.

How was Resident Evil Gaiden? I had wanted to try it since you get to play as Barry, but I was put off by the fact that it was designed for the GBC and not the GBA.

That reminds me of the 2 player king of dragons trick. If player 2 presses start right as you lose your last continue you get 99.

It's a good game in its own right with unique mechanics and a cinematic storyline. Here's a tip: Don't leave Lucia out of the fighting.

cant recall many glitches, but i do recall a glitch in the original Batman game for the NES, where you fought that one boss in the cave stage, w/the big arm, you could make him face the left wall and he would just attack that wall over and over and you could just unload on him from behind.

(sorry for crappy description but its been ages since i played that game)

None necessary its a pretty crappy game

Ultimate Glitch has to be the Relm Gau Sketch Glitch. Made it easier to choose the esper in Narshe knowing you could get 255 Illuminas in the WoB.

There's always classic Blaster Master bomb glitch that they started billing as a "trick".

I sorta remember that trick. It was pretty close to the Mega Man 1 Trick where you keep mashing pause to inflict more damage with the cut thing.

here's one from the archives!

Quote:
While we’re on the subject of shooting, How many of you remember the Gun Survivor games? They fucking sucked. Good idea, baaad execution. Horrible control scheme, Horrible storyline, Horrible everything. The problem was they were still Resident Evil games, just in first person view. You can only imagine how awkward that must be. Resident Evil characters have the turning radius of a tank and the agility of a retarded tortoise with broken limbs. It’s a Shame, the storyline for the first Gun Survivor game had a cool idea for a storyline, with you playing as a guy with ammnesia who thinks he’s an umbrella agent, yet wants to do the right thing, despite having to live with the terrible things he’s done. The ending was hilarious though, I can sum it up in one sentence

best_worst_re7.jpg
“OH SHIT! I just remembered! I’m actually the good guy! Now that makes things alot simpler.”

Dare I say that there is a Resident Evil game worse than the above mentioned? Yeah, It’s on gameboy, and takes place on a cruise ship. I smell money. Even the return of Barry Burton couldn’t save this game.

going back now, I realized that I said the storyline sucked ,then in the next paragraphs I said it wasn't bad. I wonder what crack I must have been smoking at the time.
