Thanks to those screencaps, I found out what the mystery game was in Tetris DS.

See, Tetris DS' classical mode plays footage from old NES games on the top screen as you progress. That was the only game I didn't recognize. Probably because it was never released here.

Yeah, I've got Tetris DS, great game. It stays on Mario like forever, than Mario 3 for a little bit, then some Legend of Zelda, then it starts rapidly going through other games: Metroid, Balloon Fight, Devil World, I can't remember what else off the top of my head.

Excitebike and Ice Climbers. At the very end (last 10 lines), it changes to a generic Russian background, and the music goes all oldschool Tetris-y.
