I saw this on Amazon, and have never heard of it. Looks cool, but is it?
Here's The Plot Synopsis: The lone warrior Colin travels with the wise-cracking ghost Amergan through the ages searching for the immortal despot Marcus Octavius, who killed his lover on the Celtic plains tens of centuries ago. On his quest, he discovers New York is submerged, and one dominant monolith fortress towers over the seas. Colin can save the survivors, but his sword only hungers for the blood of one man. Despite many lifetimes of training, Colin has failed to vanquish Marcus on the great battlefields of history. Can he finish what he started and stop Marcus? Will Colin lead the people to freedom or become consumed by hate? There can be only one.
Anybody know anything about this?

I only know a little about it, but I don't think it comes out on DVD till next Tuesday. However, I'll definitely be getting it -- not counting that one and "The Source", I currently own 8 of the 4 Highlander movies.

DO NOT WATCH THIS PIECE OF HORSECRAP
I watched it, and it was pretty terrible. Not bad enough to round back and be cheezy good, and not truly vile enough to be infamous. Just really not good. The fights scenes are boring, it takes place in the remarkably cliche apocalypse city, damn near everyone except the street smart black kid and the bald mutant has the same broom sideburns, and the wise mentor is annoying as all get out.
It actually erased the movie that I watched before it, Pan's Labyrinth.

Don't worry, you'll appreciate it with age.
I never saw that Highlander, but I did see a POS starring Quentin MacLeod... Wait, that was a series which four episodes were combined to make a terrible VHS feature!

Since it's Highlander and animated (...by the French), did anyone follow the Highlander cartoon they used to show on USA?

That's the one Tebor's talking about. The series was simply called "Highlander: The Animated Series", and was awful. In fact, I seem to recall it even featured Ramirez, the character played by Sean Connery in the first two movies. Which of course makes no damn sense because the cartoon takes place in the distant future.

Ah, I remember seeing Ramirez and constantly thinking of Cyan Garamonde with brighter armor.

It was finished ages ago. It premiered on the Sci-Fi channel months ago and has taken its sweet time to get to DVD.
Incidentally, if you watch it, keep an eye out for a homeless washerwoman, as she's played by Press Start's own Princess Passion Fruit, Ruth Kaufman.
...which considering how bad this movie's supposed to be, it's probably the ONLY reason I'm gonna watch it.
