It's made by the exact same team as Guilty Gear (not sure if Ishiwatari is involved with this though). Anyway, it looks incredibly similar to GG, even the moves are crazy similar (white haired guy = Sol, blonde dude = Ky, big guy = potemkin).
As flashy as it looks, the characters released so far don't look as interesting or appealing as GG , we'll see I guess.

Finally, a game where I can play as young George Washington.
Also, Arc better give us a good fighting game after announcing the release of that excuse for a sequel to Guilty Gear.

arc is also making a game for capcom that looks exactly like this, which looks exactly like guilty gear.
even the fist of hte north star game was pretty much guilty gear with different characters.
shit man, even the fonts and logos are the same.

Right, "Sengoku Basara X," that fighting game based on feudal Japan. This is my biggest problem with Arc, as good as their fighting games may be, everything looks and feels like a Guilty Gear clone. It's like they're becoming the next Nippon Ichi... God I hate Disgaea.

It's actually based on Devil Kings for the PS2 and it's Japan-only (as of now) sequel. The series is originally called Sengoku Basara.

As long as they have some variety, it's all good. And plus, that ain't even true--
Battle Fantasia doesn't follow in the style of Guilty Gear at all.

Huh, thanks for pointing that game out. Still, I don't care much for the majority of character designs by Arc.
Sorry, but I personally can't stand games by Nippon Ichi... they all feel like copies of each other, and are never ending grinds to level up your assorted creatures/NPCs.

This came out Tuesday, I just ordered it off Amazon. Apparently if you get it now, you get the Limited Edition, which comes with two soundtrack CDs and a tutorial DVD.
There are rumors that Arc is going to retire the Guilty Gear franchise in favor of this. I hope that's not true. While this game looks to be awesome, it can never replace Guilty Gear.

This game underscores why Nintendo needs to fucking release Wii-2 as soon as possible.
Look at this game. It's fucking 2D. There's no fucking reason why it couldn't be on the Wii. So why isn't it? Because the developers decided that since HD is the wave of the future RIGHT FUCKING NOW, they wanted to make HD sprites and backgrounds. So the Wii misses out. Fucking Christ, Nintendo. Give me some fucking HD.

The online needs to be made much better as well, the friend code crap is weighing it down quite a bit, and the performance isn't anything comparable to XBL or even PSN.

That is very true as well, but for me personally that doesn't matter, especially in regards to fighting games. If I'm going to engage someone in personal combat, I like to be able to look them in the eye first.

It's pretty indisputable to me that Potemkin and Tager, and Justice and Haku-Men look very alike.
