Nah, it would be a film about a terrorist cell called "G.H.O.S.T." trying to steal a briefcase full of pellets that contain biochemical weapons, and the only man who can stop them is a "Positive Agenda Cellbuster" played by Bill Goldberg.
Written by Paul W.S. Anderson and directed by Uwe Boll.
Sounds better than the resident evil plots.

* Half-Life (TBA)[49]
* Metroid (TBA)[52]
* Perfect Dark (TBA)
I'm going to be honest with you, the prospect of these games being made into movie would have been appealing to be years ago but since most VG to movie adaptations end up as crap anyway, I'm glad theses are in production hell.

I'd enjoy seeing a Zelda CGI movie if it was based off of OOT.

Hate to burst your bubble, but Castlevania is another Paul W. S. Anderson film. It was becasue he was working on Castlevania is why he didn't direct RE3.
When, can we get somebody besides Anderson or Boll to movie videogame movies?
Why couldn't Quentin Tarantino make the Hitman movie? Or a GTA movie?
Or Ang Lee make a Street Fighter movie?

You would think that with enough money any company could get Hollywood's child molester... err... Michael Bay to make thier game license into a summer blockbuster. I mean seriuosly. I think Electronic Arts, Microsoft, or Nintendo have enough money to throw at Michael Bay to make a movie bases on one of thier licenses.
That, or Microsoft needs to fiance the Halo project themselves so Peter Jackson can go ahead and make it. You would think that Bill Gates would be thrilled to be listed as Executive Producer of a film!

Peter Jackson is the first respectable director to offer to do a video game movie.

I wonder if they made a Manhunt movie? Would people be upset?

No, No, No more. Video game movies that is. Unless they're incredibly awesome, like Super Mario Bros. Damn that was the best movie based on a video game ever. Nothing can top it. Nothing.

I now only trust DarkMaze to do any game cinematic justice.

Not true. DarkMaze, ftw.
Also, John Woo had expressed interest in doing Metroid at one point. Negotiations broke down when Miyamoto insisted that there were no doves on Zebes.

Aww.
Honestly, though, I still think the best videogame movie ever made was Paul Anderson's Mortal Kombat. I've heard people in the midst of other Anderson-bashing claim it was awful, but they never back it up. I've seen it tons of times and still love it.
Also, I desperately want to make the Metroid movie. Just sayin'.

I mean the first respectable director to get an actual game license. Although I'm still waiting for Bad Dudes: The Movie.

Bad Dudes would make an excellent move. Two dudes, tons of ninjas, the fucking president!? Hell yes. It will work and it will be a success. I'd pay to see a Bad Dudes movie. The game was cheesy, so the movie can be cheesy times three. Shit, you could make up an elaborate story about the Dudes and go beyond the game. But then there would need to be sequels to reveal all the story and blah blah blah. Point is, sequels always seem to disappoint me. I want a bad dudes movie.
Heres my idea for the style of the bad dudes movie: take the corny hilarity of Big Trouble in Little China, mix it with a nonstop flow of badass ninjas like the old TMNT movie, and top it of with some sweet martial arts like hmm well all of jackie chan's movies. So, Funny + Tons of Ninjas + Martial Arts Action + The prez + hamburgers = A great action flick that will bring me back. I want it. All you need is two Bad Dudes, a ton of ninjas, and lots of fighting. Bring the whole "bad" thing into the picture. Make "bad" good. After all, the game made "bad" good in every way. The dudes were bad, yet they rescue the prez, so that's good right? That's a twist the movie needs to have.
That is all.

It really is. I can get people to admit they like it, but they always bring up the sequel...

If Jason Statham can do an American accent then he should be one of the Bad Dudes.

The original Test Drive had Pong in between loads.

On a response to a Myst review some kid said the game would be so much cooler if it had guns and you could kill people.
So when's the game coming out? I'll need to add it to my list.

Now that is smart..
granted it probably slowed the loading to some degree, but if it only had a few seonds, and there was enough time to score at least on average once or so.. it'd be worth it.
