this came about in another topic, and I figured it would be a fun game. Pick a videogame, turn it into a Hollywood blockbuster. You can get the list of current videogame movies off of wikipedia.

My original entry:

Pac-Man: The movie

The film would be a film about a terrorist cell called "G.H.O.S.T." trying to steal a briefcase full of pellets that contain biochemical weapons, and the only man who can stop them is a "Positive Agenda Cellbuster" played by Bill Goldberg.

Written by Paul W.S. Anderson and directed by Uwe Boll.

Fantavision: The Movie

After ending up with a briefcase full of blood money during a luggage mix up at the airport, an out of work fireworks technician (played by Nicola Cage) will have to use every trick at his disposal to rescue his wife and unborn child from Mafia clutches. Directed by John Woo.

I started writing a four hour, two part TV movie of Xevious intended for the Sci-Fi channel. Although, I guess that was never supposed to be a "Hollywood Blockbuster". It was closer to "Space: Above and Beyond"... so BSG in comparison, but to be fair I was developing my script long before BSG decided to come back again. Evil

If I had to develop an unbought property today? Streets of Rage. Wait, I did start writing that too... Wait, I got 50 pages into that! ... Shocked

I was also thinking of developing Comix Zone, except it took place in New York instead of the comic, so flip flop the game.

Geometry Wars: The Movie

In the year 2334 planet Earth's population had diminished to hundreds. The cause was a insect-like race that swarmed planets consuming eveything. The remaining humans fight the Geotroids using a special combat claw that can abosrb the energy of Geotroids they destroyed. It stars Christian Bale as the claw ship.

It wasn't animated at all.

When I wrote it I remember my dream cast list was:
Sketch: Vincent D'Onofrio (this was sometime after I saw The 13th Floor) although Robbie Rist would've been fun too...

... So that should date it, cause the cast wouldn't work anymore... Crying

BTW, I just wanted to say that I really, really, really want to make a "Clock Tower" movie. I did also start writing two of them back in high school. They were either going to be two films in one or shot back to back.

The first part followed First Fear. I made some changes to the game I thought were really inventive. Although I ruined the Lotte character...

The second followed the PS game. Some really bad scenes in there, but I think I could rewrite both into workable adaptations.

I know the film they're working on will not follow the games. It will be an original story. Because of this, I hope it FAILS FAILS FAILS!!! Evil

But, rest assured, I do have a backdoor allowing me to rewrite the original elements into something really cool and original. Although, who knows when I'll have a chance to finish it... However, my desire to write an "elegant horror" film has recently been piqued...

In the year Ninteen-Eighty-Hitler, the Hitler army decides to try and resurrect Hitler. The Not-Hitler army responds by sending in this one guy, Super Not-Hitler, to stop the Hitlers from bring back Hitler, but he gets captured. With Super Not-Hitler missing in action, the Not-Hitlers have only option:

A man so tough he rapes children for breakfast.

A man who can't jump.

A man with a giant retractable metal arm thing.

Setting :River City

Two high school friends must save their school, town, and Ryan's girlfriend. (or was it Alex's girlfriend......meh) They fight their way to the school and save the whole city......that has no police, traffic, or other people in the town besides creepy boys with shorts and mongoloid faces.

In between the violence, they make use of their hard-earned wages by excersising their right as consumers to buy whatever the hell they want. (this would be a cheery montage scene with smiles and thumbs up, immediately ended with a rushing down the street from the store cracking a guy with a red grey shirt in the teeth with a lead pipe.)

Ryan leaves Slick in a pool of blood, beaten to death, and everything turns back to normal, mainly becuase everyone is scared to death of the two sociopaths that continue to go to school.

I've probably said this before, but I wish that Jesse Ventura was young enough to play Hagger. The parallels are uncanny.
