It will only be perfect if they add Leonardo and Shredder in, as well. Then it will be perfection!

That's even sillier than Link and Spawn in Soul Calibur 2.
And again, fuck Namco for not putting SC4 on the Wii. Fuck 'em hard.

Wow, that alone might compel me to be decent at Soul Calibur IV.

Or the worst shameless tie in for cash ever. It doesn't make any sense really. It should have been in something like Star Gladiator. Soul Calibur seems more fantasy than sci fi.

And putting Spawn in SC2 made sense? Or Link for that matter?

Link *almost* made sense because at least he's from the same sort of fantasy world where SC takes place. But he was completely unbalanced.

Spawn is more fantasy than Darth Vader but I didn't like Spawn and Heihachi in sc at all though. The one thing about SC is the weapons. I remember when they announced the cameos and thought maybe put in Cloud. I'm not a huge FF7 fan but it made sense to me. Maybe they need like King Arthur or Conan. Established characters with identifiable weaponry.

Oddly a friend of mine used to murder us with Gon using some custom setup where he could shoot that fireball almost nonstop.

Saying this as both a Star Wars fan and a Soul Calibur fan, wow that's retarded. I would call bullshit all over this except that it's obviously real. There's no conceivable reason why those two should be in this. What's going to annoy me the most (and this is how nerdy I am) is that Lightsabers aren't going to cut right through the other fighter's weapons like they should, they can't all have weapons made of Phrik or Cortosis! On a side note though, the game looks beautiful! Love the ice cave with frozen mammoths.

I kicked ass with Link in SC2. Darth Vader and Yoda in SC4 is as completely retarded as putting Astroth in that Pacman Mario Party ripoff game.

Only in Infinities Empire Strikes Back, and then it's really more of Yoda using ghosts of Vader's past to fight him.

Unless Yoda constantly hovers in mid-air for some reason, he is going to be super cheap.

What sucks is that Vader is PS3 exclusive, and Yoda is 360 exclusive. Although Namco Bandai said they might release other Star Wars characters for download. This is really fucked up, but I like it.

They oughta just make a decent Star Wars fighting game, even if they just completely reused Soul Calibur 4's engine with new characters and locations. It wouldn't be hard to fill a roster of fight-worthy characters; you could have Yoda, Vader, Sidious, Dooku, Jango and Boba, Grievous, Durge, A'Sharad Hett, Ventress, plus tons more Jedi and Sith depending on how far back you want to go on the timeline.

That's what I was thinking. But for now, this is cool. Besides, they still have the character editor, so I can have my dream match of Darth Vader VS Leonidas.

They did that not too long ago. Wait it was a long ass time ago. People bash this game all the time but i rented it a few times and me and my friends all had fun with it.

I don't mind the cameo characters in the SC games. they're non canonacal anyways, and fun to play as.
I wouldn't even be worried about the storyline or history of soul calibur anymore afer playing SC legends though. that shit's fucked.

I think it's a stupid idea. Star Wars does not fit into Soul Calibur in any way. I guess it doesn't matter though since there's no way I'm ever going to play this. It really pisses me off since I'm a big SC fan too.

Yeah, but a physical weapon blocking a physical weapon is still slightly more plausible than a physical weapon blocking an energy weapon that in said energy weapon's home universe, there are only about two substances that are resistant to it. And Masters of Teras Kasi sucks because it's a few core characters and some boring characters made up for that game who never appear anywhere else in the EU. Granted, when it was made the roster of fighting appropriate characters was a lot thinner. Today they could make a full, Soul Calibur or Tekken sized roster with a bunch of secret characters to boot and there are a lot more locales they could do besides just like Tatooine, Endor, Hoth, Death Star, Cloud City and maybe Dagobah. Mustafar jumps to mind as a fun stage, Cato Neimodia; a small stage with easy ring-outs, Geonosis, Kamino, Naboo I suppose, etc. Just for my own entertainment let me think of a roster; Besides Yoda, Vader, Sidious, Dooku, Jango and Boba, Grievous, Durge, A'Sharad Hett, Ventress and the obvious Obi Wan and Anakin (either him or Vader being a secret character), an ARC trooper; Alpha perhaps, Kit Fisto, Mace Mother-Fucking Windu, Ki Adi Mundi, Plo Koon, Adi Galia, Luminari Unduli, Shaak Ti, stupid-looking jedi like Yareal Poof and Oppo Rancisis, a Clone Commando, A geonosian warrior (Sun Fac if you insist on a named one), Chewie, Han, Leia, Luke, Lando, IG-88 would be fun but maybe a bit too slow for a fighting game, Bossk, maybe not Dengar; he'd be a secret one at best, same with 4-LOM, a Royal Guard perhaps...
