Please God, stop these from being made!!!

I'm sick of these, I'm definately going to pass on One Missed Call and The Eye might as well be in the same bed as the rest of them. The Ring was alright, but no more.

It's not Japanese, but the notion of an American remake for Oldboy causes me great pain.

The Eye was a Korean film. But yeah, no more remakes of Asian horror films. Some of them weren't that good to begin with. Ringu sucked almost as much as The Ring.

And One Missed Call is just a dumb idea. Once you know that ANSWERING YOUR FUCKING VOICEMAIL WILL KILL YOU, why would you do it? They're a bunch of stupid teenagers, not lawyers and businessmen... there's no voicemail any of them could possibly receive that's so urgent that they have to answer it. Oh, you missed a party because you didn't answer your voicemail? Or worse yet, you got grounded because you missed a voicemail from your mom saying you had to be home at 11 PM? BIG FUCKING DEAL, AT LEAST YOU DIDN'T DIE.

I'm interested in these latest two because I'm wondering if the endings will be better than the original, non-sensical Asian ones.

Why, just today I heard about One Missed Call and was so turned off by the idea I made a page for it on Sydapedia.
EDIT: Although I would be the first one to see the American Gozu.

I think Hollywood should just drop the fad of stealing Asian horror films, and start a new fad: Stealing Hentai Movies.

I would love to see Sarah Michelle Gellar (Since she seems to be the poster girl for Asian remakes.) raped by tenticals.

Sure. That'd be hilarious.

Is One Missed Call a Phone remake? Because Phone was shitty when it was still Japanese.

One Missed Call is One Missed Call. There's a sequel, which you'd think would be Two Missed Calls, but it's One Missed Call 2, apparently.

Yeah, when I saw the commercial for The Eye, I WTFed.

These kinds of movies are OK... I guess.

Remakes of any movie are generally always bad.

Except for Evil Dead 2, which was a remake of Evil Dead.

One missed Call to me just seems like The Ring, but if the ghost were really lazy. "Yeah, hey, it's me, crazy killer ghost. Listen, I'm too busy to come by and kill you today, so if you could just do me a favor and die as soon as you get this, that would be so great..."

Umm yes it was. The original was done by Frank Sinatra and the rat pack Dean martin and Sammy Davis Jr.

Not worth it. Its a lot slower and the ending will make you feel like you wasted your time watching it.

It was sort of a clusterfuck, but it had its moments.
