I think it's simultaneously pathetic and hilarious when people freak out and get infuriated over nothing. I mean, if it pisses you off so much that you go into rage-fueled curse rants, why don't you just, uh... switch channels or sign off or something?
But yeah, I too enjoyed Duke's comebacks to every little thing she said. "Blow it out your ass!"

I'm pretty sure Ventrilo is some sort of voice-chat server thingy that you can use to talk to each other during games. It's really popular on games like World of Warcraft, so maybe that's why they were talking about guilds.

It's like TeamSpeak. Just a chat program for games that don't have the function built in. I've used it when playing MAME with Murdar.

Still mmo's have not been around that long. Darth Vader is a cultural icon. His quotes are all over the place.
And for the Zelda franchise wouldn't most who play mmo's no about action rpgs for consoles? The fact that they are gamers and don't know about link is pretty weird.

Ventrilo, or vent for short, is a teamspeak type of program that people in MMO's use to communicate w/their group, guild, party, raid etc etc.

The people couldn't see the video clips, they just heard the quotes. I wouldn't necessarily recognize Link from those quotes if I wasn't painfully familiar with those awful cutscenes.

EDIT: They all called him Link.

I just realized that the woman that got pissed off at "Duke Nukem" was actually another person using another soundbox. There were two people doing it.
Here is another video with her voice. Her name is Peggy.

That one does not sound legit whatsoever. Sounds like they took her voice from the duke one and mixed it with theirs. None of the sounds really match tbh.
Yeah listen to the first one. She replies to the duke balls of steel comment. that one is legit. The second one is not the real chick lady.
