2D fighting with 3D graphics. Hopefully done better than SF EX's floatfest.
Also, judging from the first screen of Ryu, I really hope capcom doesn't do jiggle physics on the dicklike area. I like my fighting games without male bulge, kthx

I hope that was just a polygon or some glitch they can work out. or maybe they want to make girls interested in this like the DoA series tried for lonely guys in their basement apartment.

I'm really disappointed that it's 3d. It looks very blah.

Also, this game should be 2D, and look like Guilty Gear Midnight Carnival when played on a 360. Has anyone seen that? I thought the sprites looked good on the Xbox, but with the boost in antialiasing, holy shit!

I think the 3D looks pretty nice, although Ryu must've been looking at Chun Li's tits before this shot.

The graphics is in 3d. The gameplay is in 2D, to be correct. Kinda like this.

that's the silliest thing I've ever heard. the screenshots our proud negro friend posted are simply awful quality. from the offical screen (which is all we can go by) the thing looks great.

Rival Schools and Project Justice were fucking sweet and 3d, but this is STREET FIGHTER goddammit, that means it has to be 2d or it isn't a real one.

My bad. If it's like the official one, I like the 3D.

One thing gives me hope, and that is capcom is known for two things-
1)pimping a series out until its tired and nobody plays it, then rebooting the thing and making it awesome.
2)german suplexes.
Capcom can usually bring a series back from hell, or at least purgatory.

Haggar fixed the homeless problem in Metro City by hiring them to bury the mangled bodies of its criminal population.
How in the hell did Hagger get passed by that stupid Chuck Norris facts? I mean, stupid out of work cowboy shill for shitty exercise equipment<Hagger's moustache alone. Same with the dickstain from 24.

From magic box:
"Capcom revealed some new details of the arcade fighting game Street Fighter IV:
* The producer is Yoshinori Ono, who worked on Street Fighter Alpha, Street Fighter III and Capcom Fighting Revolution
* The game will have online modes
* The game will use toon-shaded graphics like in Street Fighter II
* The gameplay will be in 2D while graphics are in 3D, but the camera angle is fixed
* Capcom wants to bring as many characters back from Street Fighter II series as possible
* The story takes place between Street Fighter II Turbo and Street Fighter III
* The battle system will be more aggressive and focus more on attacking instead of defending
* A decision has not been made which platform the game will be on, the test version was build on PC
* Yoshinori Ono assumes the most suitable platforms to be PS2 or NDS
* Capcom is interested to bring the game to as many platforms as possible, no platform exclusivity "
PS2 or DS? Kinda late in the PS2 lifecycle, and there's no way DS could do 3D on par with those screens...

NDS is good for online options, but yeah it won't look as pretty. I imagine we'll see it on everything. If PS2 is considered a viable option, I imagine we'll see definitely see it on the Wii.

Well, we had SFII on SNES. They could shoehorn it onto DS without losing much.
Also, I think it's good that they're trying to have as many SFII characters as possible, but the guy behind it is the dude behind Alpha.
