The CG animation looks like something from 1995, and the Cell animation looks like something from 1985!
I am very disapointed. I will still buy it, most likely, however.
I just hope they stayed true to the novel.

Yeah, there better be a doc on the DVD about why they chose to make it look like a cartoon from the era of Conan the Adventurer... Ah, what good times those were.

Tracy Hickman did a podcast recently about the film. He loves the music and voice work, he was mostly pleased with the story translation, other than wishing it was broken into two movies, and he hated the animation as well.
Aparently due to the small budget given by Paramount and WOTC, they had to go with a cheaper overseas animation company. Korean, I believe. What they were promised was a far cry from what they got.
But, there is hope. Hickman did bring up the fact, "Just remember, Lord Of The Rings was once just a Bakshi cartoon before becoming a movie trilogy."
