Played em all. It's a fairly good list.
Back To The Future is absolutely terrible, as are Bayou Billy and Silver Surfer.
I'd offer up Snake Rattle N' Roll and Hydlide as two other nigh impossible NES games.
And the guy who picked three Mega Man games sucks at video games... and life.

Convoy no Nazo? That game drove me apeshit. It's so easy to get hit, And shooting the planes will only backfire on you if you're close.
Also, it's pretty lol when 3 of the bosses in the game are just Decepticon logos.

Guardian Legend isn't hard at all. Once you get past the first stage the rest of the game is fucking cake.

I don't know about "fucking cake", but yeah, Guardian Legend is a lot more fun and a lot less frustrating after the first level.
Oh, and Ghosts 'n Goblins needs to be mentioned. That game is complete fucking bullshit.

I played xbox capcom arcade classics version, at least it looked all right, play the old school NES version, its just as hard, but looks 3 times worse.

Agreed on that one.
AND SMB2J? Give me a fucking break. There's much harder games out there.

Well. The fact that you have to beat all FOUR levels including the castle on the same continue is pretty fucking hard, when you're playing without a quicksave on each level ala All-Stars. That is one of my most proud gaming achievements, having legitimately beat that goddamn game. What a fuckin' awesome game.

You're talking about the extra worlds, right? Cuz there's 8 levels in the game. There is some pretty ridiculous stuff in SMB2J.

The only issue I have with the game is that your shurikens only travel 4 feet.

Yeah that is definitely true. I remember one of the castles, I think it was C-4, had a part that was almost impossible to do without taking a hit.

I myself had trouble with the Quick Man stage in Mega Man II, until I realized that you could use Flash Man's Time Stopper to freeze the beams coming at you. Anyone who is armed with that knowledge and still picks it as one of the hardest games has no excuse.
And, seriously, _what_ were those beams, exactly? They looked like toothpaste. Anything that can kill you with just one hit should _not_ also be capable of movement.
Speaking of (ahem) one-hit wonders...
I would agree with the place that Silver Surfer has on that first list, though-- that *is* an incredibly hard game.

I am fairly certain that Quick Man's stage was IMPOSSIBLE without the Flash Stopper. Even with it, you had to grab all those conveniently placed energy cells not to die.
Wily's Castle was pretty frustrating in MM1, but there was nothing in MM2 and MM3 that couldn't be beaten with some perseverance, energy tanks, and the unlimited continues they gave you.

Quickman's stage is definitely doable without flash stopper, even back in the console days. It was just a matter of rote memorization.
Yellow Devil in MM1 was a real pain in the ass, unless you used the pause trick.

Yeah, Yellow Devil was brutal in the first game. The MM3 slide really made him a lot easier.
