The old one of course. I mean, come on, you can enjoy it on so many levels, its got great animation and drawings and stuff, the musics amazing( everytime I watch it I get that lots in common song stuck in my head for at least a week), its funny at face level, and then you can laugh at the alternative humour, like how he says I don't wnna die, or how chessey it looks when he walks into the camera smiling and singing. Oh, well, that was the best movie ever, I'm bored and I just watched it.

I respect its willingness as a childrens movie to address death, and its ability to make said death emotionally striking. Modern children's movies pretend children don't understand that living creatures die, and 90% of movie deaths of major characters lack any punch due to the propensity of ressurections and poor writing.

Wilburs kinda whiny, and even at a young age I recognized that most people are going to credit the spider for the web that spells out interesting slogans, versus the pig.

Another problem is that this movie just adds to the pile or reasons to not eat pigs. Between that and their admirable intelligence, sociability, and cleanliness when not shoved in a cramped mudpit, and adding the always annoying fact that cannibals refer the human as long pork due to taste similarities, and your a step closer to being some vegan hippy douche.

It was OK. Much better than the remake.

So long as Spice World exists, no other movie shall claim the title of "best."

". . . each night when the lights go out, theres candy corn all around . . ."

Templeton was the best. He basically told it like it was and never hid his true nature. Him having kids at the end was just cheese though, in the book he just becomes obese.
