To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the release of the first Final Fantasy game, Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy will make its U.S. debut March 1 at 8 p.m. at The Rosemont Theatre in Chicago.

To be performed by The Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, the concert features music from the popular videogame series composed by internationally acclaimed Japanese composer Nobuo Uematsu. The Rosemont performance will feature a special guest appearance by Uematsu and include new music from the video game that has never been performed live before on stage. Arnie Roth, Music Director and Principal Conductor of The Chicagoland Pops Orchestra, will conduct.

The 2-hour program will include new Final Fantasy music, as well as classic numbers, alongside the state of the art videos and art stills shown on massive screens to highlight the game’s most memorable sequences. Attendees will also have the opportunity to purchase the new Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy CD, available only at concert venues and the official tour website.

Tickets to the March 1 concert are available by calling 312-559-1212, or visiting www.ffdistantworlds.com/chicago. Tickets range in price from $35 to $150. There are a limited number of $150 VIP tickets, which will include a meet & greet with Uematsu, a copy of the new Distant Worlds: music from Final Fantasy CD, and a special tour program book.
