I know it's not the same time period as Sydlexia but it is pop culture related. And it is hilarious.

My favorite one is Babe Ruth.

Fuck the 30's

Fuck them hard.

In high school...eleventh grade to be exact...

I had to write a TWENTY FOUR page newspaper as my final project in my U.S. History class so I wouldn't fail and end up in summer school...

What did I have to do this god forsaken thing on? A decade. Which decade?

Take a guess. It wasn't one I'd have liked...like the 80's.

No.

Take a wild guess.

Weee

I've heard of having to write a paper before, but a newspaper? Did you have to create your own horoscopes, weather, recent news, cross word, etc?

The would have made it fun. You could of had a full page ad for cocaine, with the slogan, "Enjoy Coke, it's the bee's knees!"

actually, my teacher's guidelines strictly prohibited things like that...you know...things that would have made it interesting and all?

What we had to do was write articles based on the times, with dates, blah blah...blah...

blah...

I hate the 30's

I would have made at least 6 pages of ads (just like real papers!) which would have potrayed events in the 30's in a humorous light.

New Rand McNally Road maps which included Hoovervilles, authentic dustbowl dust, breadline placeholders, and all every special offer would be called a New Deal!

Alpha, was this some remedial project you had to do becuase you didn't study/learn like you were supposed to? If that's the case, it's unfair for you to take out your indignation on the poor 1930's. They've suffered enough.
