I watched 6 Godzilla movies in a row and leaned a few things.
1: When the Japanese try to explain something, it makes less sense than before.
2: The ultimate weapon in Japan is not the Katana, its the gigantic drill, which I saw attached to a flying submarine, a rocket launcher (in lieu of the rocket) and as a beak on a gigantic flying mecha chicken thing.
3: Godzilla makes no fucking sense whatsoever, and I love it.

I think the origional movie was supposed to be a metaphor for the atomic bomb and subsequent nuclear proliferation. After that, it became about guys in rubber suits stomping on toy cars.

I own virtually every Godzilla movie with the exception of, like, one. Most of them are the best thing in the world to watch on a lazy Saturday afternoon.
However, Godzilla: Final Wars is quite possibly the greatest action movie ever made. Godzilla? Check. Space Battles? Check. Kung fu fighting? Check. Kung fu fighting ON MOTORCYCLES? Double-check. Ultimate Fighting combatant Don Frye? HELL YES. And some of the best monster battles ever committed to celluloid.
There's no scale to fully measure its awesomeness.

Baby Godzilla is my favorite.

I liked when he fought Perry Mason. And that wasn't Godzilla's fault; Perry Mason came on tohim.
I'm kidding, of course. Both American Godzilla movies suck. I do highly enjoy Destroy All Monsters though.
Final Wars is like Destroy All Monsters multiplied by a billion.

I became a Godzilla fan a long time ago and enjoyed renting every movie to the point were my old man just shook his head. The American One pisses me off though. Don;t get me wrong, it has it's moments but i'm a hard core Blue Oyster Cult Fan. Here's my beef with the movie in a nutshell:
1) Blue Oyster Cult is from New York City.
2) One of their most popular songs is "Godzilla"
3) A movie about Godzilla attacking New York City
4) The song is NOT in the Movie
You think it would come full circle and the awesome Godzilla song would appear in the movie. Nope. Hell, even a cover would be awesome. Nope. I haven't watched that movie in a long time but I can safly say that American Godzilla would have been 10X more awesome if it only had a classic ironic piece of rock at the end.
