Samba de Amigo and Viva Pinata are coming to the Wii.

That is all.

I heard Viva Pinata was going to the DS, not the Wii.

Also, isn't Viva Pinata by Rare? You know, the company that Microsoft bought from Nintendo to make games for exclusively for its consoles? Since Microsoft doesn't have a handheld division, I could see them putting it a game on a Nintendo handheld (which has already happened), but the Wii seems unlikely.

From Game|Life:
"Apparently Microsoft isn’t satisfied with putting their first-party, Rare-developed franchise Viva Pinata on the Nintendo DS: they’d just like to concede the race entirely and make a Wii version. If this happens I will really not know what to think."

Well, all right then.

You know, Microsoft can't be happy with Rare.

Let's look at the games Rare has made for Microsoft:

1. Grabbed By The Ghoulies - Crap
2. Conker: Live And Reloaded - Awesome, despite extra censoring
3. Perfect Dark Zero - Crap
4. Kameo - Not a bad game, but too short and poorly marketed
5. Jetpac Refueld - Meh
6. Viva Pinata - Awesome

Their next announced game is Banjo-Kazooie 3, which is going to need a massive overhaul in gameplay mechanices if they expect people to give a shit about it. B-K1 was fun, but B-K2 was fucking painful. There was just too much collecting to the point where it stopped being fun.

Ostensibly, Microsoft bought Rare to get the Killer Instinct series, which would definitely do well with XBox's audience, but a new KI game hasn't been announced.

The future doesn't look good for Rare. I see Microsoft either dismantling them or selling them back to Nintendo for less than they paid to buy them.

It would be hilarious if Rare was sold back to Nintendo, THEN a new Killer Instinct game came out. Also, Microsoft is putting stuff on the Wii? WHAT IS THE WORLD COMING TO???
