There's this emo kid at my school who is a major loser. I was listening to my mp3 player one day, and the kid asks me what I'm listening to. I tell him "Oh, just some metal (it was Mouth for War by Pantera, for those interested)", and he says "You're lying!". So I calmly ask the douchefuck what the hell made him think that I was lying, and he says "You're not listening to metal because you aren't dressed like someone who listens to metal. You don't have all black clothes and wristbands like mine, see?". So, I tell him that I don't have to dress like an assole to like metal. I then asked him what metal bands he liked, just to see if he would say what I thought he would. He did, listing bands like Linkin Park, My Chemical Romance, and other emo shit that I don't care about. Homo.

See I like throwing people like that off, I tend to wear a chain with a cross and khakis and a t shirt and like one of those over sized base ball caps thats popular in my neck of the woods, and drive around with a new aquaintence listening to rap. Then I throw in a Hate Eternal CD. Laughing

linkin park is hardly emo, and my chemical romance isn't either.

and I have "digging up the corpses" by devildriver as evil ryu's theme, and "bullets" by creed for evil ken.

I looked up the definition of emo. It had a picture of MCR. They are nothing BUT emo. And they suck.

Is Radiohead emo? Their singer always looks like he's about to cry.

I think Radiohead was a precursor to emo. While Thom Yorke is a whiny bitch who does indeed look as if he's about to weep at any moment, there was a harder edge to them and their shows that wasn't faked by wearing makeup and black hair dye. They also knew how to play their instruments and didn't feel the need to "pour out their emotions" by playing their guitars out of tune as loud as possible just to be fuckfaces.

I think Everclear was a precursor to emo as well. Man those songs were whiny.

If you want whiny songs, Stabbing Westward was the be all and end all in the 90s.

I'm still of the belief that Dylan' "Positively 4th Street" out-emos any whiny twat decked out in black with his spiky bracelets and $60,000 in tattoo work, complaining about how unloved he is because he wears eyeliner or whatever.

Once I asked him how he felt, he said he was feeling emo and continued to grimace. Laughing

If I ever see Art again, I will tell him that people think that his band was the godfather of Emo, and see what he says. Razz

Maybe I'm wrong here, but the way I remember Everclear, they were nearly indistinguishable from Third Eye Blind, which would mean they played forgettable upbeat pop rock. Which is, like, the opposite of emo.

I was going to defend Everclear by saying their song "What It's Like" isn't too bad, but apparently Everlast performed that. Artists with similar names irk me.

Counting Crows had some whiney music, but the music was a bit to mellow to be "emo", could've called it mellmo

I found out the next bullshit fad. It's called Hardcore StraightEdge. I don't know what the fuck that means, but I hope it isn't worse than emo.

-Canadians coming in droves too take part in our no sales tax on clothes.

-Kids who supe up an 87 oldsmobile. Aluminum Spoiler and loud exhaust tip. You know what fuck all the honda civic owners and fast and the furious for making it "cool". If your car was meant to sound like and be fast it would be called a '69 Dodge Charger, or some other awesome Muscle car.

-douchebags who pop their pink shirt collars.

-people who think its completely awesome to bass the whole neighborhood awake. I'd rather hear my music then feel it.

-BlockBuster.

I used to carpool with a girl who insisted on having the bass all the way up for every stupid whitegirl rap song she would play. I tried to explain to her that the bass was turned up way too fucking loud and may damage the car or the audio equipment, but she didn't listen. I don't carpool with her anymore.

Fire Fox's Spellcheck. Every time i miss spell a word, FF lists words that don't even come close to what i was thinking of, yet windows document gets it right on the first try. I cannot think of any examples right now but the moment i do i will post them.

Also, I hate it when a song gets stuck in my head. Family Guy / Starwars's rendition of "I'll have the time of my life" is still running ramped in my brain. Now that i think of it, most Family Guy songs get stuck in my head.
