So some guy already beat the thing and posted the secret ending to youtube. I suppose you could watch it without being spoiled:

I'm not sure what that's all about but, bring on Kingdom Hearts III! Roxas in what looked like Nobody armor, a new evil guy with a really cool looking Heartless minion, a graveyard of keyblades, looks like good stuff.

Actually it's just expanding upon the secret ending from KH II. Also, Nomura has stated the characters are NOT Riku, Sora, or Kairi (nor Roxas because...well play the game). Whether the old guy is Ansem or not is a whole other question. I just hope this "Keyblade Wars" thing doesn't wind up becoming an MMORPG.

Hey, I have played the game dammit! And you say that now, but half of the crap that happens in those games barely makes sense to begin with, don't be ruling Roxas out yet sucka. Is that battle from the the plus mix version too? Or did I just miss a huge part of the game somehow? That guy is fucking insane, I thought Sephiroth was hard...

You may have played the game but I don't think everyone here has (hence why the paranthetical note about Roxas).

The "Enigmatic Knight/Unknown Soldier/Whatever" Battle is indeed from Final Mix as one of the additions to the game.

Other additions:

* Limit Form, a drive form based off of Sora's abilities from Kingdom Hearts 1 (Ragnarok, Sonic Blade, Strike Raid, Ars Arcanum, etc), the outfit is also Sora's from the first game.
* Getting to fight all 13 members of Organization XIII. Zexion uses capturing books and Marluxia's fight is particularly insane. You start with a "31" over your head and every hit from him subtracts 1 until you die at 0, but you can increase the count by a few with an Action trigger where you throw his scythe back at him. All of that while dealing with about 10 life bars.
* A new difficulty level, where the secret ending is unlock simply for beating the game. This level makes even normal enemies a serious threat and it gives several abilities, including "Exp 0" which I believe sets your XP count as 0.
* They nixed the constantly respawning fireworks with drive orbs inside them in Land of Dragons, and also the 144 flying heartless above Pride Rock are now a single being.

As if I didn't spend enough time running around that game trying to do everything... Are we gonna get the final mix or is it a Japanese exclusive permanently?

According to speculation and Japanese sales (sold 300,000 copies on the 1st day of sales!)and the full English voicing with an eye towards Western release, We're gonna get it, my friend, We're gonna get it.

Independent sources are saying we'll get it in the Fall, but Square-Enix isn't saying anything.

Three new games with the KH licence have been announced that rened my faith that the Final Mix for KH II will come out:

Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep for PSP looks to be a single-player adventure in the vein of the PlayStation 2 iterations, though not "Kingdom Hearts III." Birth by Sleep's protagonist was not explicitly named in the presentation, but he looked an awful lot like Zack of Final Fantasy VII/Crisis Core fame.

Kingdom Hearts: 358/2 Days for Nintendo DS appears to star Roxas from Kingdom Hearts II, but its main draw looks to be four-player simultaneous play using members of Organization XIII. It will be in full 3D.

Kingdom Hearts: Coded is a mobile game, likely for Japanese cell phones. It stars the familiar cast of main characters from the original Kingdom Hearts (Sora & co.) and seems to be set between the first and second PlayStation 2 titles.

Each title is said to have a time-related theme: Birth by Sleep is "the distant past," KH: 358/2 Days is "time of the other side," and Code is "time has gone by."

Well, I'm excited regardless if we get final mix or not, the announcement of the other titles is enough to whet my appetite.

I had no clue what was going on but the graphics were better then most movies i've seen this summer. I haven't played any of the Kingdom Hearts games but this one looks awesome.

Do yourself a favor and grab the first one, it's less than $20 by now. After you beat it, you could try and check out Chain of Memories on the GBA, but it's a real-time card battle game (not sure how you'd feel about that). Then play Kingdom Hearts II.

I only mention playing CoM as it takes place between 1 and 2 and introduces a bunch of characters mentioned and appearing in KH II.

I remember when Kingdom Hearts came out, I was thinking "Disney + RPG? pffft!"

I love that game. Some of the bosses are really hard, like Captain Hook.

I'm really not willing to beat the game again just for final mix.. I played it once on proud mode, did very little extra, and go the secret ending, 'nuff for me.

(I would say though the most enjoyable fights, one's where you actually had to try alittle bit were Xaldin's fight, when you beat the water guy for the second time, and the last boss fight, other than that beat basically everyboss on first try.)

I wanted to go face sephiroth but since i beat the game at level 48 I would of had to grind up to a suitable level. I fought him, and get him down 5 of his 15 bars, but just to difficult to kill him. It's definitely doable at levle 48, just annoying, since you have to play really well.

I plan to play on a friends game, he's level 87 and beat sephiroth with his character.

KH 1 and 2 were pretty fun, but i'm not going to give these bastards more money by buying the same game twice, with slightly new features, it's really an abuse of the consumer. It's like the whole starwars, adn starwars special edition, then starwars box set, then starwars regular set and box set... how many times are going to change two scenes and sell it to us as if it were a whole new movie, or game in this case.

ewww sorry said one word differently, he said hi kairi, instead of "hi" let's sell that as kingdom hearts final final mix deluxe edition. bah!!!!!!!!!

SquEnix has confirmed they'll be releasing Re:Chain of Memories in the states in time for the holidays this year. Note that this will just be Re:CoM and not Final Mix+. MSRP is $29.99
