I fail to see what makes this of any value. Why would anyone pay to have a dog chew on cards? Is it a special dog? Are they special cards?

bullshit. it's more like a way for someone with a fucked sense of humor to make a joke, and possibly make a few (thousand) bucks in the process.
we all know the only way to truly bring the dogs back to life is to bury them in the pet sematary.
