I don't know if this falls against the rules about religion or what not, but Jesus Christ man, these kids are getting more and more fucked up as the years go by.

Jesus Christ, this is retarded. I listen to metal, and I'm no worse for the wear. If this little shit was fucked up by the fucking Beatles, he needs therapy. I'm all for religion. I go to church, and I'm in my church's youth group. But this shit crosses the line. It seems to me that people now seem to forget that you can be religious and have your own thoughts, too. I still enjoy vulgar humor, metal, and porn.

I'm not surprised that people would say this shit... ask Valdronius about his band from way back in high school... people like that is why I can't be part of an organized religion.

Yeah, there's no reason to let a few nutjobs ruin religion in general for you.

"These people think that our war is against other people. They think that our war is against man. And our war isn't. Our war's against ... the pain in teenagers' hearts, like depression, alcoholism. Those things that -- that are, like, tearing our teenagers apart," she said.

...

Again, I'll defend the faithful. This article does not speak for everyone who's "mostly concerned with Jesus". Rolling Eyes

Christians should not wage war on anything except manifested evil. In the form of demons and/or devils. If they encounter Raksasha or Yeth hounds, thats okay too.

Christians cannot technically wage war on Azethoth. Any universe with a chewy ultimate evil center as played by bat-shit crazy idiot god of the cosmos could simultaneously support God Abramic style.

Pop-culture as declared enemy is idiotic ramblings of a small offshoot with either

1- Nothing better to do, as real problems never touch these sheltered asswipes
B- Serious personal issues too dire to come from anything on the TV.

Actually, Arnold was Jesus in "End of Days". You don't get much more Christian than that. Also, he was Job.

You know once in High School, I almost manged to get the Christian club shut down. That wasn't even my intent. Myself and a few friends decided to start the "Satanists' Happy Funtime Club," as an afterschool club. The school board immediately rejected the club application. So I stood my ground and declared that the school district could not turn us down as it would religious bias. As a Cristian Club was already in place, and that Satanism is a recognised religion, therefore they would be showing favortism. The Principal sat with us and asked what the club was suppose to be about. So we told him our plans: (These were the REAL plans for the club, by the way.)

1. We would meet twice a week to discuss how to be better Satanists and how to better ourselves and our schoolwork through the ideals and teaching of the Dark Lord.

2. We would try to enlighten others as to the generousity and kindness of Lord Satan by organising such things as Canned Food Drives and Collecting Clothing and Blankets for the Homeless.

3. We would welcome all who wished to join, and give them any and all support we could with any problems they might had.

The Principal said that there was no way he could allow a "Satanic" club to use the public school facilities, as there would be a huge backlash from the community. He told us that our ideas were noble, and we should pick a non-offensive name for the club, with no connection to Satanism. We told him that we were "First Reformed Heterodox Satanists." And, that we wish to be allowed to freely worship our god and be allowed to enjoy our first ammendment rights. So we again argued that we could take the school district to court for "Religious Bias" and by showing favor to one religious club over another would be against the division of Church and State.

He still refused.

We never did sue.... Should have.

I have a feeling that had we taken legal action, the school would have simply dis-allowed ANY religious group from using the school for meetings, and would have kicked the Christian club out.

We just want to start the club, because we wanted to show up the snooty and stuck up Christian kids. The hardcore ones were anoying as all fuck, and we wanted to start a club directly opposed to them, and do way more for the community then they ever did, just to make them look bad.

I hate that... times when you know you're right, but you don't want to take the time/effort/money to sue.

I ended up quitting my first job because I grew my hair out and they wanted me to cut it. They said they'd fire me if I didn't, so I quit. I could have sued them based on gender discrimination, because they let girls have long hair. The funny thing is, this same employer refused to let employees of any gender have any visible piercings, because they had had too many fights with male employees over piercings.

And I never said that demon/devil/rakshasa/yeth hound hunting would be the sole purview of christians, just that it would be a prime recruiting ground for soldiers in the supernatural skirmishes so common in modern spiritual warfare.

Although i am upset you were too lazy to start this club and/or sue the school... this is a very interesting/cool story...

If it was some metal cover band of the beatles I could understand:

There's a band from my area which pretty much does just that.

Actually, I was just being ironic by making a pop culture reference. But irony is a tool of the Devil, so screw it. Evil

I disagree that would be prime recruiting. Most people are lazy and they tell you when you join that you'll be fighting your neighbors on a daily basis. "Love thy neighbor", my ass! You are to debate, ridicule, and fight anyone that sees differently from you. Especially if they are your friends, neighbors, co-workers, friends of co-workers, or neighbors of your friends' co–workers.

If Christians are not going to fight demons, what the hell are they good for?

And how is making a pop-culture reference ironic? Irony would be if the devil was about to buy the word Irony and he missed the auction because he was too busy watching the twilight zone. Hmm, irony is tough to write.
