You may have already answered this question in another thread, but you seem to be a big hard boiled fan, so are you getting "John Woo Presents: Stranglehold"?

When I played that demo I got bored pretty fast, but it was alright. It reminds me of Max Payne I guess.

Every game about a man shooting people and has the ability to slow down time reminds people of Max Payne...

Well, it does. Those are the only two games I've played where you slow down and lunge forward shooting guns at people though. I only played the demo for awhile though, so I dunno, but I don't play many games like that anyway. It had some cool stuff in it though, where you slide across tables and things like that.

Dead to Rights and Jet Li: Rise to Honor don't remind me of Max Payne much.

I don't know why they picked Stranglehold as the title, it means nothing to me. Why not just call it "Hard Boiled"?
That being said, it looks like Max Payne with none of the charm and it runs like ass. I'll probably play it 5 years from now and enjoy it somewhat, in the mean time I can't afford the kind of PC it requires to play at functional framerates.

Neither does Enter the Matrix, but I'm sure most everyone forgot those games.

Except that I can personally say that "Rise to Honor" is a kung fu game first. That'd be like saying "Tomb Raider: Legend" reminds you of "Motocross".
And EGM did liken ETM to Max Payne.

But the slow-mo isn't player operated, there in lies the difference and why no one drew the parallels. Plus, Lara isn't a man... yet.

Oh yeah, thats true. Still.
I'm starting to think I just have a really different taste in games or something, people are raving over Bioshock's demo, and I thought it was pretty boring.

It's hard to say if it'll outsell Prime 3. The Wii has had very strong sales, and every Wii owner will most certainly buy Prime 3, so we'll have to wait and see.

I hope so! The thing is, almost everyone I know with a Wii isn't interested in it. I don't get it. The dude at work I know said screw that and hes waiting for naruto or something. Puzzling.

Since the Wii is targeted at a general audience and gamers and non-gamers alike, I wouldn't think every gamer would buy Prime 3. Every Metroid and/or fan with a Wii will, but I know a few people who are quite happy playing Wii Sports and all the other "family" games.
But, based on what I believe Syd was meaning, Metroid Prime 3 should prove to be a huge hit for the Wii, and give "Twilight Princess" a run for it's money.

If Nintendo markets the hell out of the game, which they may or may not do, the game will sell well with non-gamers. What I mean is, if they push the game as a must-have title, people who have Wiis will buy it, or buy it for their kids, because they want to stay hip, much like how XBox users buy every new version of Madden.
But since Nintendo hasn't aggressively marketed any of its top tier Wii titles yet, I don't expect them to start now. Before and during the Wii launch, I saw more commercials for Red Steel than Legend of Zelda. Hell, I think the only Zelda footge I saw tended to be in console commercials, usually as part of a montage of Wii games.
Strikers and Super Paper Mario didn't get big pushes either.
Nintendo's philosophy seems to be that its top franchises speak for themselves and don't need big advertising campaigns. That's true to an extent... the console's release schedule has been so stilted that pretty much every half-decent game that comes out ends up being a must-buy. But Nintendo can and should do more. They've expanded their userbase far past what it was in the N64 and GCN days and they need to acquaint these new Nintendo gamers with the franchises that the rest of us are already intimately familiar with.

Anybody remember back in the N64 days when Super Smash Bros. was advertised?

I do.
The commercial played that song "Happy Together" and showed Mario, Pikachu, Donkey Kong, and Yoshi skipping through a field. Then they started fighting.
