Plagas seem to have an unnatural attraction to minorities (well, technically speaking spainerds are not minorities in Spain but whatever).

Frankly I'm all for it. Depending on which ones you get, those little buggers seem to give you at the very minimum resistance to bullets, and at their best render you ridiculously powerful with the ability to go all cosmic horror.

And unlike zombieism, you seem to retain your intelligence and most of your free will. Even if the whole world was taken over by them, it seems like everything would go about how it always goes, except if your head gets blown off a flailing bone blade comes bursting out of your exposed neck.

Oh, and laugh while you can, but we'll see which ethnic group gets hit next when RE6 takes place in a cluster of banks and bagel shops.

I just like how instead of karate kicks and belly to bely suplexes you have arm drags and punches to the face for defense now.

Or trailer parks. Or NASCAR events. Or any other stereotype I might be missing or confusing. lol.

And here I thought Dead Rising was supposed to be a parody of Resident Evil, not a sign of things to come...

A politico/activist from Ohio named Kym Platt (a woman) is already raising an (uninformed) uproar that the game is racist. I mean wow, who would've thought a game that takes places in Africa would have a lot of black people in it? Zombieism transcends race. Nuff said.

To be honest, it was my first thought... But then I realized it was a video game and just wrote a snide comment here instead. If only they could sort their problems like normal people and just bitch about it online.

There should be a token white zombie. Then it wouldn't be racist.

I'm hoping the game will take advantage of Africa's local fauna.

That would be pretty sweet, if you get trapped in a corner by a zombie, and then a Lion pounces from above and mauls it...

Of course later, that same lion would be affected and become a whole 'nother problem entirely.

Dammit JEW, have you been watching Land of the Dead, George Romero's gay ass zombie lovefest? Ooh, the poor zombies, look at them, they're just trying to find their way in the world, maybe we shouldn't kill them after all. Sure they, uh, REQUIRE HUMAN BRAINS FOR SUSTENANCE, but what the fuck?

What makes it even worse is that it was a retarded metaphor for Christian/Islam relations.

I was being satriacal, but whatever.

also, if reed richards can think zombies are teh next step in human evoloution, than so can I.

Quote:
However Reed Richards, who has been driven insane by the strain of losing his children, deliberately infects the other members of the Fantastic Four, reasoning that the zombie heroes are a higher and more efficient form of life. The infection consumes everyone on the Helicarrier, but not before Fury has Thor destroy the teleporter so the zombies can't escape to other worlds. The comic ends with Richards intending to take the damaged device back to the Baxter Building, repair it to contact other worlds and thus 'spread the gospel'.

Knyte, I love you, but also am sad that you beat me to the punch. I love White Zombie.
As for my feelings on video-game zombies, I'll just direct you to the Penny Arcade comics where Dead Rising is parodied. Or I would, but I'm too lazy to hunt down the URL, so you'll just have to do it yourself.

Romero zombies do not eat brains. They eat human flesh, and not because they are hungry as they lack a metabolism. Its probably a status thing.

Anyone notice that there seems to be a lot more enemies coming at you at once than in RE4? If they make them a lot stronger than the zombies in RE4 it would be a controller smash fest!

* Takes place 10 years after the events of Resident Evil 1. The story will explore Chris' life during the ten year interval between the two games. During the game's events, he is a member of a group known as BSAA, and sent to investigate an incident in a desert area that serves as the game's setting.

* A female character from the series will appear in the game, and that she briefly appears in the full version of the E3 trailer.

* Environment will play a significant role. For example, if Chris suffers prolonged exposure to heat, he will begin to see mirages and hallucinations. Also, the game implements various lighting effects. If Redfield’s character moves between bright and dark areas his eyes will have to adjust, causing the player to briefly lose some visual of their surroundings.

* Will also feature new types of enemies. The extended E3 trailer revealed several sequences involving Redfield attacking hordes of fleet-footed enemies, who possessed melee weapons. Takeuchi, has also stated the game's enemies will also possess human-like intelligence and awareness. Furthermore, he stated they will be different from the previous zombies and ganados.

* In an interview with Xbox360ism, Keiji Inafune briefly stated that the game will feature some online elements

I've been playing a lot of RE0 and REmake lately and I really miss the fixed camera... There better be more of an emphasis on the "mythology" than RE4 had - Not counting "Separate Ways".

And Wesker better be in it - Wait, Chris is in it! OF COURSE Wesker will be in it.

The fixed cameras had their place on the PSX where a full 3d environment woulda made the game's FPS tank to shit. Spare me the "atmosphere" of awful shooting mechanics and unplayability in favor of a fun game, the over the shoulder camera is the wave of the future, so you better get on board for the big win Cool

I actualyl agree with murdar. RE4 was just what the series needed to keep from being stale. dino crisis had to do the same thing, and it may be about time for devil may cry to do so as well.
