Drew Carey has been tapped to succeed Bob Barker as the next Prime Minister of Britain. Or something like that.
I have nothing against Drew Carey, but I'm not really sure how he'll work as host of The Price Is Right. He's definitely a much better choice than Rosie O'Donnell, but I still don't really think Drew Carey has the proper personality to host a game show, let alone the quintessential game show.
People I think could have done it better include John C. Reilly, Ted McGinley, John O'Hurley, Tim Allen, Patrick Warburton, and George Gaynes.

He hosted Who's Line is it Anyway. Not really a traditional game show, but he was good in that.

Yeah, he was awesome on Whose Line, but that wasn't a game show.
That was an improv comedy show where he'd give his buddies random situations to act out and then give them points based on a completely bullshit scoring system.

I had originally heard that it was going to be Mario Lopez. I've actually had that stewing in my brain for about 2 months, so this is a definite improvement.

I'd go for Mario Lopez, so long as he refered to every contestant as 'Preppy'.

He's only taped the pilot episode of the Power of 10... I'm guessing he'll just scrap that and go with the better contract.
