I have terminal cancer, so I am going to die. I have a month or two left, according to my doctors. I'm not going to let the cancer turn me into a shell before I pass, so I have made arrangements. I choose to die with dignity and my faculties intact.

I don't think I could say anything that could really make you feel better about the situation but I'll try anyway.Your life mattered and everyone here enjoyed your presence. I know you like SOTN so I'll always think of you when I play that game.
Everyone here and also your family are probably really broken up inside to hear this news as everyone deals with this differently.Thank you for letting us know. I know Syd appreciates your being apart of this community. You know we will honor you in some way going forward. You also already know we will all meet up again. It's not fully over.

I got nothing much to say in such circumstances. All I know, my dude, is that I've always subscribed to the old adage that someone only truly leaves the world when their name is spoken for the last time. We'll be speaking yours a lot, I can promise you that.

I was going through some old papers and found my password to the forums this morning. Imagine, logging on after several years to find out you are DEAD! Did no one bother to check the validity of this bullshit? I recall posting my xbox gamertag years ago, and if just one person looked you would've figured out this was a bunch of rubbish. I am sorry for any of you who believed this. I have an idea of who may be responsible for this, but I have not spoken to that person in many years now. I am going to see if I can get in touch with him and get some sort of an explanation, because this type of dishonesty disgusts me.
Once again, I am very much alive. My apologies for this mess and the deception that was experienced.

This is a very weird situation, a lot of us were genuinely heartbroken when this happened & grieved you together. We would love if you came back into the discord because we'd love a deeper explanation on what happened here (and, frankly, just to know more concretely that our friend isn't dead).
On a lighter note, when I thought you were dead I thought it was bittersweetly ironic that a Castlevania DLC for Vampire Survivors came out almost immediately after, as I thought it'd be right up your alley, so I'd love to chat with you about in the discord, too.
