Prolific session keyboardist, record producer, arranger, composer and Quadraphonic Sound co-founder David Briggs, who worked with some of the 20th century's most influential artists and not to be confused with any of his notable epoymites, dead a week ago of complications from renal cancer at 82.

Retired actress Priscilla Pointer, known for her various motherly roles in film and TV and mother to Carrie co-star Amy Irving & writer-director David Irving, dead peacefully in her sleep at 100 twenty days shy of her (also my late maternal grandmother's, my first cousin once removed's and his sister-in-law's, incidentally) birthday.

Novo Agency founder Jeff Sperbeck, business partner and former agent to NFL Hall Of Famer John Elway, dead of undisclosed causes following an injury suffered over the weekend at 62 (birth date unknown).

Japanese retired interim textile factory manager-turned-mountaineer Tomiko Itooka, recognized last year as the world's oldest person when the previous titleholder died, dead January 6 at 116 four and a half months shy of her birthday.

Two-sport athlete Tom Brown, the first to both play Major League Baseball and appear in a Super Bowl and not to be confused with any of his notable eponymites, dead a week ago at 84 seven and three-fifth months shy of his birthday.

Brazilian nun Inah Canabarro Lucas, recognized months ago as the world's oldest person when the aforementioned previous titleholder died, dead at 116 one and a third/quarter months shy of her birthday.
