The universities of Hull, Bradford and Sheffield Hallam have pooled together their resources to create a post-grad program for aspiring games developers.
Each of the institutions currently has gaming content in their undergrad prospectus, and the post-grad scheme is designed to foster British programming talent and encourage students to greater heights.
The Game Republic Academy, as it has been dubbed, is sponsored by three of the UK's top dev outfits - Rockstar (Grand Theft Auto), Team17 (Worms) and Sumo Digital (Virtua Tennis 3).
Students can get scholarships to the course, and the dev studios will be providing help, support, office space, work experience and job offers to those studying.
